Looking at the girls listed as "runaways" who have yet to be found on the "missing" site for CA, not so sure...some have been missing a very long time...I do hope this case, at least, has a conclusion...dreadful to never know.

I think they just list alot of these girls as runaways because they have no other explanation for what happend.

Just to clarify, IIRC in Holly Bobo's case, it was a lunchbag/box and not a purse but yes, similar.

In the Canadian case, Mariam Makhniashvili they also found her school bag but sadly, she was found dead. Apparent suicide.

This one doesn't sound like suicide though.

As ya read her twitter it seems she was doing drugs.

Where on her twitter does it appear she is *doing drugs*?

I think this was a 'R-U-N-N-O-F-T that went wrong.'

She trusted the wrong person.

thing is ya cant ditch school ya have to show up or your parents are called right away unless Sierra called the school and pretends to be mom saying she is sick...
so if that didnt happen i think she WAS on her way to school.

BBM.

Apparently not at Sierra's school...links upthread indicate that Sierra's mom didn't know about Sierra's absence from school until early evening (6-ish?) when she received the email from the school.

Whether this means the email wasn't sent in a timely fashion (per whatever the school's policies), Marlene didn't have access to check email from work, Marlene didn't try to access her email until later, or ISP technical difficulties delayed the message being sent or received, who knows?

As someone posted previously, school policies vary, and even moreso, based upon the ages of the children. Unsure whether laws are in place about contacting parents about school absences.

You can't judge her from her twitter, she's just a teen tweeting/blogging the kind of stuff lots of teens do. Hell, if I was a teen now I'd probably be re-blogging that stuff and I'm soo far from being a druggie and a rebel it's not true! Lol.

Eta- I missed that post about the drugs. Ok that's a bit different but still, lots of teens experiment.

Other people will judge her, though, including perhaps the "wrong" kind of people. Anyway I do find her social media highly disturbing, JMO.

Not the schools that I know of around here. I find it kinda scary, but the calls or emails don't come in until after the school day is over.

I have a friend with daughters in the same school district. The notice of kids missing school don't come out till the afternoon. Besides it was an email which her mom would not had seen till she got home from work.

I can't speak for anyone, but I am not judging her. What I am doing is looking at her tumblr and twitter accts and seeing that the things she was posting attracts a whole lot of people that you don't want in a 15 year olds life (or anyone's for that matter). It greatly ups her odds to coming into contact with a lot of predators.

That's an interesting way to put it.
"Connected to the squad".
Wonder who she replaced as the "flier"?

Is this just something you join, or need to tryout for?
Is it like joining a gymnastics or dance school, or what?
Paid tuitions?
Local cheerleader from area high schools do this in addition to their school team squads?
Did the Morgan Hill Times go down to the cheer school or gym or whatever it is and interview these girls to get the quotes?

Rather than have some girls come forward from the team for this article, isn't this something the instructors and team organizers would be formally commenting on to the news?

It is interesting that this organization seems to be under the radar...yet is an organization (sports) that flourishes on media attention (as all sports do).

I don't think anyone called her off sick, not only would we have heard about that but the school would not have emailed the mom saying Sierra missed her classes.

I think the fact that Sierra has two homes (one in Fremont and one in Morgan Hill) also ups the odds of her coming into contact with a predator. She didn't just move away from Fremont. She still goes back there regularly for visitation with her father. Two sets of real-life friends, two sets of neighbors who know her and see her regularly. Plus all of her online activity.

That quote is a common one on girls FB walls. Imo,it is referring to wanting a boy to find them, or for 'love' to find them, and not wanting to look for love or a boyfriend.

It seems improbable, but not impossible, that Sierra has run away even though some of her tweets on her Twitter account suggest she wanted to be somewhere other than home and I doubt this is a case of stranger abduction. If she is a runaway then LE would have made that official by now and they would have sent a bulletin about her runaway status to all of the other LE departments and to agencies specializing in runaway cases.

As I said, it is not impossible that she has run away from home but it is not certain because she does not have a history of running away and she was too much into school lately and being with her friends to simply run off somewhere without telling at least one of her close friends either in Fremont or Morgan Hill about her plan.

Sierra's home is located at the end of a dead-end street with very few houses located in her neighborhood. A complete stranger would have to go entirely out of their way to drive that far into that part of California to abduct her and risk getting caught or noticed on that type of street unless it is a psychopath who became obsessed over her, especially someone who came across her on one of the social networking sites. Some of the people on her Twitter account give me the creeps.

If Sierra was abducted then it has to be either someone she knows, maybe even someone from her past that no one would expect would do something criminal, or it could be someone in the area of her home who noticed her and knew her daily routine just by observing her and her mother and the mother's boyfriend from afar over a long period of time.

Sierra did describe on Twitter an incident that twice happened (February 23rd and 24th) concerning a car with people who were bothering her. That is something LE cannot and should not rule out as part of their ongoing investigation.

LE seems to have narrowed down their case because they have not, as far as we know, extended their search beyond the country where Sierra resides. Have they questioned the faculty and students at her former school in Fremont? It seems they have focused attention only on her current school in Morgan Hill. Maybe LE has an idea who may have abducted her but they have to get their evidence together and observe any suspect or suspects for a long time before they can make an arrest?

Does anyone know what happened to Sierra's last tweet on her Twitter account? The linked account in her last retweet is @AlexiaIsom, but if you click on the link it says "this user does not exist". I could be wrong but I believe it has been like that for about a week. Isn't that suspicious?

These types of stories are personal to me and they bother me a lot because I was almost abducted when I was a child over 30 years ago. It was the most frightening incident that I have ever experienced in my life.

Sierra and her family and friends are in my prayers. I pray daily for her safe return home.
