Why does this seem to be a common occurrence with people living with disabilities or memory issues? Why wasn't he dropped off at his house?Police say Breed's family had not learned of his release from the hospital on Feb 13, until he was reported missing the following day.
Or why wasn't his family called to come get him?Why does this seem to be a common occurrence with people living with disabilities or memory issues? Why wasn't he dropped off at his house?
Right. I know that hospitals are severely overburdened right now, and that people suffering from dementia can appear more competent than they are at times. I also know that the hospital can be an even more terrifying and disorienting experience for those with dementia than it is for those without. My guess is that Stanley wanted to leave and may have appeared able to navigate home-or the hospital was simply too busy to determine he wasn't able to.Or why wasn't his family called to come get him?
