Susan wearing a chain necklace(s) with her scarf.

Thanks Mahouston69!

I was picturing something totally different - a much heavier chain. I'm not trying to make excuses but gah no wonder people run into problems - it's so hard to know what each person means, and even harder when you're talking about it being filtered through at least one LE person and a reporter. Thanks for finding this picture and helping me consider another variation of a chain necklace.

Thanks for posting this picture of Susan. When I saw it, it made me feel like she's calling out for us to find her.

I just posted an innocuous question whether or not there have been searches since last summer. From what I could see on the FB page, it looks like only MSM articles are posted, and no comments from anyone. I wish SJ's son would visit us again to share any news.

Mmmmm.

On the Posts by Others under the small highlights your message has been there since yesterday (if that is you) and Susan's sister Liked your comment, AND the facebook page administrator whoever that is, mentioned under that post that there have been no recent public searches.

Now, the adjective Public could mean perhaps there has been private searches, maybe? It is an added word to describe searches, otherwise I suppose she/he could have said there have been no recent searches.
Maybe I am putting thoughts that aren't there, or maybe the wording of the sentence implies more.
It's nice that Susan's sister Liked your post, and that there was a comment by the administrator. :) YAY!!!!

IMOO.

Still no new news that I've been able to find about Susan, or about the body that was found. :( I was so hoping for something by now, especially when they released the ring photo and info that should theoretically help ID the woman. Does that ring not stand out to anyone? It looks pretty unusual to me, particularly the size of the diamond (or CZ, whatever it is).

Back to page one Susan !
Someone knows where u are!

Hi Nikb,
I thought she may be the Sac delta UID...but the ring should be a dead giveaway....

On the CBS 13 10 PM news, they announced that the burned body found in Sacramento is NOT Susan. Good news, but she is still missing.

Thanks Birdie! More of the story showed up today and it sounds like there's not even a remote possibility it could be her. I feel awful for whoever it was and her family. And then yeah, the whole thing that Susan is still missing.

Have you guys seen this new case? Missing woman Nicholle Yarnell from Modesto, which is about 90 minutes away from Roseville. Here's Nicholle's thread: CA CA - Nicholle Yarnell, 46,Modesto, 10 Jan 2014 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community. There isn't much info yet on Nicholle, but there are some kind of striking similarities IMO between her disappearance and Susan's. Disappeared from a store parking lot in the morning... car found in the lot along with her belongings (so it wasn't a carjacking or standard robbery). They also look somewhat similar in appearance, to me. I realize the likelihood of the disappearances being related are super slim, but I couldn't help but notice the similar elements.

Thinking of Susan again tonight. Unlike most of the country we've had a very long dry spell here, which was pretty much broken this weekend since we got a ton of rain. I don't know why the weather makes me think of Susan so much, but it does. I guess I still picture her "out there" somewhere even though I know it's not realistic. I always think of her when it's a gorgeous Spring-like day, but also when it's particularly cold, rainy, etc. It breaks my heart to think of her being cold, getting soaking wet, etc. Realistically I know she's not out wandering the streets at this point. Odds are probably against it but I do still hold hope that she may be alive somewhere. If so, I hope that somewhere is warm and dry... and I hope she's found.

Hm. Finally caught up on the FB page. There was nothing or not much from July forward, but a lot more in January. I don't see any "page" posts but there are responses to people as recently as January. I don't know if it means anything, but wanted to post it.

... also wanted to mention, her sister is now posting on Susan's FB missing page (initials CL). I sent her a comment there and she both 'liked' it and responded - unfortunately all she really said is no new leads, but I was glad to get a response from her. It was good to hear from another family member.

I left a message last week on the FB page, and heard back from Susan's sister, too. Not a day goes by that I don't think of Susan. This is such a sad and frustrating case. I still cannot believe the silence (LE, immediate family, friends). I mean, no one vanishes into thin air, and I can't help think that there is a lot more to the story. I just don't know what, though.

Prayers up to Susan and her family.

Glad you heard from her too! I know it's a little thing but I was so happy to see some recent activity on her page, and to see her sister on there posting. It's somehow comforting to know we WS'ers aren't the only ones even looking at her missing page. I agree with you, people don't just vanish, especially in a fairly busy area that's known for being relatively safe. There's got to be way more to the story. I hope LE knows at least some portion of the rest of whatever went on/is going on.

Can't believe Susan's thread was so far down the page (on the 3rd page actually) that I couldn't find it. I don't even know what's sadder, the fact that she's still unaccounted for or the fact that there are so many missing people that her case/thread seems to have disappeared.

I'm glad there's a little more activity on her FB missing page. I so hope she's found.

The activity I saw on the facebook page was from Others, though with a few responses, and an Update perhaps would be helpful from the Administrator in such a way as if they have no news, then they don't, but perhaps keep the page Alive by giving some descriptions of what Susan liked to do, where she used to work, what hobbies she had, etc.
The last post by an administrator was on July 25th about an article on 3 missing women and at least one of them has been found, and that's coming up on SEVEN MONTHS since there has been any post other than commenting on several post by others.

Agreed, a post by the admin would be great! I'm not sure who the admin is but maybe he/she/they could share responsibility with those who have more time to post. I would love to see more about what she liked to do, hobbies, previous work, etc. It's been so long now I don't know what would really help but something to work with is better than nothing, IMO.

Just checking in. I am still amazed at the lack of new info or a new search or anything! Poor Susan...

Very sad indeed. Its almost like this is being handled as a private family matter. :(

Thanking your post wasn't enough. You put into words exactly how the family appears to be acting toward Susan vanishing. I had an acquaintance who disappeared back in the 1970s from Grass Valley (she has a small thread here) and I have been haunted by Joann's case for 40 years.

I cannot fathom what I to do if one of my family members vanished, but I wouldn't be sitting on my hands waiting for LE to act.

Susan, where are you? We care very much.
