RIP Tatiana. I am so heart broken.

That is a looooooooooooooong way from Oakland (almost 300 miles). I'm guessing she resisted being "put to work" by whoever was holding her. Sacramento was probably on the circuit.

ETA:

Beans - Get out of my head. lol
It's actually over 300 miles if toll roads were avoided. Hopefully whoever was responsible for this wasn't sharp enough to stay off of toll roads.

I-5 from Seattle, Portland, Oakland is a huge trafficking corridor. I agree she might have resisted or attempted to escape.

It's also possible she was enticed to work on a farm, lured for the idea of "great cash", etc.

I am so sad for her. So sad for her family. RIP

I also think it could be that she was sold to someone or kidnapped at the party and killed shortly after by someone who just wanted to do a woman harm. I don’t want to trust 100% what Marcos said but if believed, he left the party and she was gone by the time he came back. What kind of party is this that no one could be interviewed about who was there. My heart literally hurts knowing she was found in some remote area, and that she had been there for some time. She was so beautiful, so full of life and was just getting started in this world. Justice for Tatiana. I hope this case doesn’t go unsolved.

There are so many unknowns. There is a part of me that hopes everything happened quickly. For her sake. And if she had been out there a long time, at least she wasn't being hurt and she was free.

She was being transported somewhere to be that far away. I am guessing trafficked north to Portland or Seattle. I imagine she fought back. It seems so unlikely with all the areas around and ocean, etc. That she was transported deceased that far away. I am so sad right now.

Humboldt and Mendocino counties aka "The Emerald Triangle" are so lousy with murder (and Marijuana businesses) that they have their own subforum here. Siskiyou is just North of there but certainly close enough to strongly suspect the legal-but-still-very-shady California Marijuana cultivation business was at least tangentially related to the case. If there was no electronic trail to establish this "Marcus" person's identity I would presume he was a street criminal she met while living in LA who then enticed her back down for a visit and disposed of her when he was done, perhaps she had given him the impression that she was less connected with her family than she actually was. Hopefully law enforcement will up the stakes and locate him now that her death is confirmed. They may wait for the medical examiner's report though. Three months is kind of a long time, I don't know what weather has been like in NorCal.
I agree, Marcus lured her with a promise of quick money. Could have been trafficking or drug transportation/sales. I wonder if LE knows where he is?

I love this picture of Tatiana, so bright and beautiful. Justice will come sweet girl, whoever did this to you will pay.

There’s been a lot of snow up that way Jan-March.

By January marijuana is trimmed, dry and packaged, ready to be sold. There’s quick easy money running the goods to SF and especially LA, which gets higher prices, but it’s risky work driving around with something so valuable, making the exchange, and then carrying a lot of cash back to the source.
I have no information to think she was involved in transporting pot, but killers usually drop the body somewhere they know and that location is surrounded by grows, so that may at least be how they know that area. JMO.
People in the business are notoriously skittish about talking to the cops, though, even when they lose a ton of pot or money, even if someone is murdered to steal it.
I lived a lot of years north of SF and it’s an old story.

I know sometimes we quickly think Trafficking but in this case I think it's highly possible.
In this and most cases it's not, yet it persists like a malignancy in this crowd. Why is that?

Why assume she was being trafficked? What evidence do you have for this kind of speculation?

her locations are all on the track. no one is clear who she was with. i dont jump to trafficking in most cases, but im familar with all the locations in this story.

i could be wrong though, wouldnt be the first time.

Ha. Would normally agree 100% but in this case I believe there’s some sort of known issue with the hotel/motel she was last seen at. I’ll see if I can find suitable references.

Well it’s not only the hotel. She was seen at a corner store at 2 am the day she disappeared, in a block that is a hot spot for prostitution. With that said, she could’ve willingly have been doing sex work. To me it feels she was sold or provided services to someone who killed her. The only thing that gives me hope is that this man has done it before and I hope he left DNA that can be treated through GED Match
