Absolutely horrible! My prayers to the family and friends, may the Lord serve justice...

I can not bring myself to read this thread or anything related to it. I just can't for some reason. I can not even stand to read the headline for the thread. Can someone be kind enough to tell me if there are any suspects or any arrests made in this case? Maybe I can read about them one day, I just can't now.

I am a fairly new member who joined for the Erin and Kelly Stanley case and have periodically been reading other threads. This one saddens me to tears and I agree with everyone justice needs to be served. Anyone who can do this to those 2 beautiful souls should be prosecuted to the fullest. My thoughts and prayers to everyone involved and lets hope this is solved and prosecuted soon. Those 2 did not deserve to die.

God Bless everyone involved.

The only viable suspect is the (proven) biological father of baby Dean, Dennis Potts. Tori was meeting him that night to tell him she was filing for child support. He didn't want this to happen, because he didn't want his rich parents to know he'd sired another child, it would affect his allowance. The poster here known as tigress is Dayna, Tori's mother, and Dean's grandmother.

Here is a link to the site, (click enter) where you can maybe make contact to find out anymore. I'd recommend a visit to the Links section there, you can watch a video interview of Dayna, and there are also links to Steve Huff's blog entries about the crimes. There is more, but I am not comfortable saying it, afraid I might say too much. :furious: I don't want to live in a society that lets such crimes go unpunished, but now I might be ok if Karma catches up to Dennis Potts, only if it manages to give Dayna and all who loved Tori and Dean solace though. More, I just want to see this reach trial, and have the prosecution be successful.

I also want to add that there are at least some detectives who are working on the case who seem to be as interested in seeing justice as we are. We have never heard very much information related to what kind of evidence LE has or does not have. There should be DNA evidence on the rope that was used, and in the living room where Tori's was found. I can't imagine there not being any. I remain hopeful, but get frustrated at the seemingly slow pace of this investigation.

I visited their website and read over some stuff on here and visited the myspace page for Tori and Dean. I am sick to my stomach and I do not even have words for what was done to them. All I want to do now is hug my kids.

I have been reading WS for some days now and just came across this story. I am in shock. Tori went to high school with me.

See my post above for a way to contact her Mother, Dayna, if you want to. *comfort*

Welcome to WS, absinthe.

I wish this story had a good ending, but I guess we will have to keep waiting.

Thank you, Taximom :)
I am completely bewildered as to why more progress hasn't been made in this case. It's also strange that such a horrfiying double murder hasn't gotten more publicity. I live in San Diego and this is the first I've learned of it. It is frightening that the perp is likely still in our community.

I am one of the one's unable to read the story-but I wish peace of mind and heart to all of you fighting for justice and who have known and continue to love Tori and Dean. A crime like this will not go unpunished...it may take a while, but they will never be forgotten.

You said it all, believe. I check on Tori and Dean's thread every time I see new posts come up on it, hoping for some step towards justice.

What happened to Tori and Dean is simply unforgivable. Welcome to Websleuths Absinthe. Hopefully we can all celebrate an arrest in this case in the future. Did you also know Dennis Potts, the prime suspect?

Thank you Reannan. No, I did not know Dennis. I was a year ahead of Tori and Dennis in school. I knew Tori only peripherally because we had PE class together.

At one point, there was great frustration for someone to make an arrest of DP.

I know lots of mailings, etc. went out. I was just wondering if Tori's Mom might have contacted Ron Goldman for help or wasn't Sonny Bono a Legislator out their and then his wife took over his seat after his skiing accident? Has she been contacted?

Just throwing out a thought.

Tori & Dean, RIP.

Double bump, for insurance.

Praying this won't be as long a wait as some, my friend.

Oh Steve.....how perfect that you made that connection. I pray every single day that Dennis Potts is brought to justice. I know he did it, and the local LE knows he did it. LE is working very hard on this case (per conversation with some of the detectives) - and they are very, very, dedicated - and patient. They want all i's to be dotted and t's to be crossed. Every time I see a little boy, I think about Dean..... I wish I could give Dana a hug, and more than that - I wish I could give Dana a court date.
