Hi @Sleuth91 Did you ever consider Pamela (Pam) Ann Pedro? She went missing in 09/13/1982 from Atwater, California. Born in 1965 she would have been approx. 29 in 1994, so a little older then the estimates. She had braces when she went missing. On the picture she looks to have some crooked teeth too. I can't see if they were shifted to the right, but after removing the braces we don't know how it would have looked like. She is Hispanic/Latino/Asian and of Filipino descent. Height 5'1. 110 pound when missing. What are your thoughts? According to the Doe Network there are dentals and DNA for her. Edit to add.
Some agencies may list September 13, 1986 as the date Pamela left her family's home. Some agencies give her date of birth as September 21, 1965. Her hometown may be listed as Merced, California in some reports. That city's police are assisting with the investigation into Pamela's disappearance.
I have seen her before (a long time ago) but I've never really considered her for this Jane Doe because of her age but I think this is a good find! Are you going to submit it?
I cannot submit it right now because of a conflict of interest but if someone else wants to submit it then they can!If you could do it...please.
Here are all of the pages that I've found online containing info about this case (I know some of these have already been posted, but some of the domains have changed and I just copied and pasted from my URL list:

I found this photo interesting because it appears to be a close up of the decedent and not a sketch. It shows the scar and moles on her forehead. I found it on the canyouidentifyme blog. The URL is listed above. I find it odd that a blog has this photo but it's not on NCMEC, NamUs, or doenetwork.
In fact, none of the photos are included on her NamUs page or on the LA County Medical Examiner's page. I emailed the contact with NamUs to see if they can get her photos uploaded to her NamUs page.
Today is my one-year anniversary as a Websleuths member. I quoted my very first Websleuths post above.
I am so thankful for this community, for the volunteer staff that keeps the site up and running, and for the ability to discuss cases with people with similar interests.
For this Jane Doe...
Over the past year, we've had:
We've learned:
- Jane Doe's photos uploaded to her NamUs page (3/27/2020)
- Information updated on her NamUs page (3/27/2020)
- Monique "Pebbles" Santiago ruled out as a potential match (6/24/2020) (However, this info is not in NamUs)
Also, the coroner's office sent us a PDF of the case report, from which we learned more details about the night she was discovered. (7/27/2020)
- That contrary to many online sources, she did not have moles on her forehead. What the sketch artists were seeing were burn artifacts that resembled moles (7/22/2020)
- That her jawbones were found in a storage closet at the coroner's office last summer and have been sent to the California DOJ for DNA extraction (??) I'm unsure if extraction is the correct word but basically to me (a layperson) they're getting DNA from her jawbones. (7/22/2020)
- She did not have a gap between her two front teeth like at least two online sources stated (7/27/2020)
- The line delineating the separation of her two front teeth did not line up with the midline of her face/nose. (There is probably a better way for me to say that but basically her teeth appeared to be "off center" from the rest of her face if she were to smile.) (7/27/2020)
- Her teeth appear to be normal size (7/27/2020)
- She appears to have full lips BUT they can swell after death due to trauma. (7/27/2020)
- The scar on her forehead is close to her hairline (we already knew it was above her right eyebrow, but we didn't know exactly where above her right eyebrow) (7/27/2020)
I'm sure there's more I haven't covered. This was just what I could remember off the top of my head. I appreciate all of you for helping keep this Jane Doe's memory alive and I believe with all of us advocating for her she will be identified someday.

I got an email from the LA County Medical Examiner-Coroner a few weeks ago....They let me know that the California DOJ DNA Lab was able to obtain a partial STR DNA profile for this Jane Doe. It has been entered into CODIS but there have not been any matches.
Thank you for your update. How very sad.......I was hoping they could have taken this case a bit further.....Thinking back....did we came up with potential matches before of girls who aren't in the system yet? Somehow the possibility that she came from abroad and/or was illegal in the US is getting bigger.....and her family thinks she isn't missing, just living a nice life in the US and is estranged or doesn't dares to call in a missing person. The math book is still bothering me.....could they find out in what grade (level) this was used or if it was associated with any school (stamps)? Was there more they learned from the sample....f.i. more info about her racial background?
Sorry, edited a couple of times.
Here is the older article I was talking about. It's from 2007.

I have just read through this thread; all of your hard work and dedication is amazing!
I am just wondering if anyone has considered Patricia Loya as a potential for this Jane Doe? The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
Patricia is missing from El Paso, Texas and was last seen in April of 1993 at the age of 15. She is biracial- Hispanic and white. It is noted on her NamUs page that she has a birthmark near her left temple and ‘Angel’ tattooed on her left ankle. I am wondering if one or both of these may not have been noticeable due to the conditions of Jane Doe’s remains, having been partially burned? Patricia’s height is listed as being between 5’2 and 5’4, and her weight as being between 120 - 140 lbs - both within the range for this Jane Doe.
What are your opinions?
I looked at Patricia before and she is saved on my tracked NamUs cases.I have just read through this thread; all of your hard work and dedication is amazing!
