From your link:

"I am honored & pleased to announce that a surgeon who personally knows how difficult & long the recovery will be for the 2 deputies has donated $50,000 from his own funds,” the sheriff tweeted Wednesday.

“This surgeon from Wyoming wants everyone to know that this horrific attack didn’t just affect those in Los Angeles, but it affected everyone in the United States who cares about our law enforcement officers.”

How very kind. Jmo
Wow! This is amazing. Very kind indeed!

Just when it can’t get worse... a man is falsely accused & getting death threats- fears for family’s safety.
Los Angeles-area man falsely accused in deputies shooting speaks out
From the link: His attorney stated: ''"The sheriff's department does not appear to be interested in tearing down the walls that have separated them from the community. All we saw was a slight post on social media. They should be doing a press conference to clear this man's name."

A presser is only going to draw more attention to this man and more people will know about him. Not sure why he or his attorney would want to do that.

They should be outraged at whomever it was that stated the false rumor on social media and try to find out who that person is.

She is amazing!! I’m guessing she was shot in both arms, as well as her jaw. That is one tough lady! Wishing her a speedy recovery!

Two sheriff's deputies shot sitting in cruiser in Compton, Calif. ambush

A screen grab from a security camera video released the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department shows a gunman walking up to sheriff's deputies and opening fire without warning or provocation in Compton, Calif., on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020. Officials say two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were shot in their patrol car at a Metro rail station in what appeared to be an ambush. The sheriff's department said the male and female deputies were shot in the head and had multiple gunshot wounds and were undergoing surgery. Deputies were searching for a suspect. (Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department via AP)

''COMPTON, Calif. -- The shooting of two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies in an apparent ambush prompted a manhunt for the shooter, reaction from the president and protests outside the hospital where the wounded deputies were being treated Saturday night in California.

The 31-year-old female deputy and 24-year-old male deputy both underwent surgery Saturday evening, Sheriff Alex Villanueva said in a late-night news conference. Both graduated from the academy 14 months ago, he said.

The deputies were shot while sitting in their patrol car at a Metro rail station and were able to radio for help, the sheriff said.''

Protesters gathered outside the emergency room at the hospital where the injured deputies were being treated.

“To the protesters blocking the entrance & exit of the HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM yelling “We hope they die” referring to 2 LA Sheriff's ambushed today in #Compton: DO NOT BLOCK EMERGENCY ENTRIES & EXITS TO THE HOSPITAL,” the sheriff's department tweeted. “People's lives are at stake when ambulances can't get through.”
Expected to survive, thank goodness!!
$100,000 reward offered in brazen ambush shooting of 2 Los Angeles sheriff's deputies
''Law enforcement look at a vehicle at the Metro station in Compton where two Los Angeles sheriff...
''Both sheriff's deputies were initially "fighting for their lives" at St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles following the Saturday night shooting outside a Metro train station in Compton. On Sunday, a senior Los Angeles County sheriff's official told ABC News the deputies are expected to survive.''

''As the shooter ran away, the video showed the patrol vehicle's passenger-side door open and one of the wounded deputies stumble out.''

Numerous sheriff's deputies and officials went to St. Francis Medical Center and stood vigil outside the hospital.

L.A. County Sheriff's Department in an update overnight confirmed that an unlawful assembly was declared as protesters blocked the entrance and exit to the area hospital emergency room. Two arrests were made including a female member of the press along with an adult male.''

"After deputies issued a dispersal order for the unlawful assembly of a group of protesters blocking the hospital emergency entrance & exits, a male adult protester refused to comply & cooperate," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a tweet. "During his arrest, a struggle ensued at which time a female adult ran towards the deputies, ignored repeated commands to stay back as they struggled with the male and interfered with the arrest.''

This is such a vile disgusting act! And then the so called "protesters" blocking the hospital entrance shouting that they hope the officers die. I'm beyond words right now.

The shooting is terrible! However, I must correct something.
The LAPDHQ were not accurate when they tweeted that BLM protesters were protesting at the hospital where the officers who were shot were taken. And they said that it was a large crowd preventing the ambulance drivers from getting in. And they said that this large crowd was chanting “I hope they f*****g die”. And they said that news reporters were trying to sneak in unbadged.

The truth based on video evidence, there was only a handful of people, who weren’t BLM protestors, they were a pan-African group with pan-African flags, which is completely unrelated to BLM. Only one person said that he hoped they would die (which is despicable). They did not block ambulance vehicles, and the reporter wore her credentials around her neck.

Is there a source/link that you can share with this information? I've not seen this reported.

I found this, I'm sure there are more quotes:

L.A. protesters try to break into hospital where two officers are in critical condition after 'a cowardly' point-blank shooting

In one clip, a man who identifies himself as Kevin Wharton Price of the Africa Town Coalition refers to the injured deputies as "two of America's most notorious gang members."

Hmmm, there is more:

Activists Attempt to Enter Hospital Where Shot Deputies Were Taken, Shout Threats

A person who captured footage of the hospital incident in Los Angeles showed activists near the facility. “I want to deliver a message to the family of the pigs: I hope they [expletive] die,” one is apparently heard saying.

Sheriff claims protesters blocked hospital where two officers are being treated after shooting

Videos on Twitter show that the agitators appear to identify themselves as “Africa Town Coalition” members, as they walk toward the hospital before threatening officers there. Some of them shouted anti-police slogans.

Thanks @Kaley Smith for bringing this information forward and setting the record straight.

I did see the original group identified as Pan African. I don’t know how many gathered there after a bit of time but it only takes 1 to block an ambulance. As for the reporter I believe she was arrested because she did not follow officers instructions. Reporters are not free to do what they want. News reports do say she had a lanyard around her neck in the video. I guess we might assume that was her ID.
It’s good to have the group “ name” correct. It helps to keep track of how many organized hate groups are in an area.

Wondering what is "Africa Town Coalition"? Me too. Here's your answer straight from their mouth.

"AFRICA TOWN COALITION

The Africa Town Coalition is a Union of Black Grassroots Organizations & other Black Individuals from South Los Angeles & the Surrounding Communities

Our Mission is to Establish & Develop an Africa Town in Los Angeles & other Cities which have a Significant Concentration of Black People

Africa Town is an Area of Refuge for Black People
An Area in which Black People Will Control the Security, Housing, Economics, Social Dynamics, Self Governance & All other Aspects of Our Environment

In Los Angeles We have Claimed What was formerly known as the leimert park village

We are in Communication w/ Black People in other Cities Who are also Developing Africa Towns..."

They go on to say that they won't allow a police force or outside entities to "exploit" them financially. It follows with 4 comments after, the first of which repeats "Black Power" several times.

I don't know how their mission statement compares to BLM's bc there seems to be no unified mission statement across BLM that I could find.

They're definitely not pushing for peace and harmony. Seems like segregation mixed with some anarchy. MOO
