I admit I posted it in the beginning from msm.
After being on websleuths for only a short amount of time and when searching for facts on a case I prefer to get info direct from LE. Sometimes LE isn't out there with info so msm it is with hopes they are reporting the facts.
Very true. MSM gives us a general update, but sometimes those very small details or unsaid words by LE leads MSM to interpretation. Sometimed LE will through off certain details of the case so the poi doesnt know what they are doing. I guess we have to take all the info with a grain of salt.

Yep. What details we get or don't get.

Even after all this time I still wonder exactly why, if WC's wife told him she would be home late when they spoke at 4pm, that he still went ahead at 4pm and, as he told her, began cooking chicken. Why not wait an hour, hour and a half, so that dinner would be freshly made for his wife's return ? jmo Or was he planning to go someplace around 5pmish, and did not share this with his wife ?

Maybe he had already put the chicken in since she should have been home originally much earlier. If so it would have been done by the time the white SUV pulled into the driveway right after 5. Was the cooked chicken on the counter? In the now cold oven? In the fridge?
I don't recall LE saying if or where they found his cell phone. Wallet and keys I saw mentioned. Anyone remember?

I think WC's wife said that he was just starting to cook when they spoke on the phone at 4pm. I read that this was when she told him she was working late. The chicken was cooked when his wife came home. Oven was cold. Never have heard where his cell was.

I dont believe she made any comment about the oven being cold. If I remember correctly Linda said the chicken was cooked and the stove was off.

Once I take the chicken out and clean it, I'm less likely to put it back in the fridge uncooked. I'm not sure how long it takes a chicken to cook. (Assuming it was a whole chix) An hour?! So he puts in at 4:00, takes it out at 5:00, so by the time his wife got home at 7:00 it would have been sitting for 2 hours. If you knew you were going to leave, would you put the chicken in the fridge, or leave it out? He knew Linda was going to be late but did he know how late? Does the above make sense?

Yes, thats a great point. If I knew she was going to be late, which he did, I would either put it in the fridge or stick in the oven to keep warm. Not sure why he chose yo leave it out. Unless, something did, in fact, happen not too long after he finished. He may have been letting it cool down before putting it away.

Well, if something happened with the white SUV around 5:00pm, Will
may have just taken it out of the oven and turned off the stove and disappeared willingly or unwillingly with the person or persons in the truck.

I thought I heard WC's wife say " Yes, I told him I would be a few" ( didn't finish sentence) when talking about working late that night.

Yes, I think you're right. Although if he began cooking at 4pm, I think the oven may well have been cold. My thought was why wouldn't WC wait a while before cooking, if he was just starting to prepare the food, and his wife told him at 4pm she was going to be late ?

Also, is it known where WC's wife was when she called him at 6pm, and got no response ? TIA to anyone who might know.

This happens to me quite a bit, as my husband often has to stay at the office an hour or two later than planned.

If he calls me at 4 to say he won't be home until 6 or 7, I have usually already started dinner cooking. So I keep going with what I am doing and then warm it up when he arrives.

I would have left the chicken on the counter until it cooled down enough to place it in the fridge. I think that might have been his plan. But something surprised him and he didn't get the chance to do so...

My guess is that she was at work or just leaving work when she called WC at 6pm. I believe she called him to tell him she was on her way. Commute time from her place of employment to home is about 1 hour so that would get her home right around 7pm.

Not me. I love to cook, and have always cooked. If I am going to cook though, I would always prefer to serve a freshly cooked meal, especially if I have all afternoon. Only reason I would cook ahead of time is if I had to go out. JMO, though...

Liz, you keep referring to him as having someplace to go. Or that's how I'm reading it anyway. Are you thinking he left on purpose to go somewhere or that maybe that's how it started out as? I can't help but think if he left to go somewhere on purpose, he would have put the chicken in the fridge. (That is if he wasn't planning on returning).

And I wonder too about his dog.
I'm sorry to say but my dog would have found a way to get that chicken off the stove. I know they said the dog was home but was he crated? What kind of dog did he have?

I think he was just going out for something, and planned on coming back. I don't think he went out alone. Interesting point about the dog, and the food found on the stove. jmo

If I were going out for anything I would take my keys and my wallet and my phone. Was the house locked? Was his dog left inside? Did he take a jacket?
We have never been told where his cell is. Keys and wallet were left in the house. His car was parked on the street where it is still parked today. Come on. Someone knows where he is.

There is a remark on the press conference about Will's cell phone.
Its not from LE. Will's sister says he doesn't have his cell phone with him
That was the first time i had heard it mentioned.
There were a few MSN reports after that that mentioned his cell, but I expect they are repeating what they heard from the PC

I have always been curious about that.
And, if the door was one that locked automatically, then, the keys left behind would have been a red flag

True. But he could have had some cash on him.. we were told he left some cash behind in his wallet. I have always wondered if the house was locked up when his wife returned. And also if any interior lights were on The phone is a big mystery. LE has never said it was at home. And they have also never said who he may have called that afternoon.
