He's not standing in anyone's way. LE isn't finished investigating. More has broken since he was identified and I'm sure we'll get even more as the investigation continues. The family wanted to release a statement. Good for them - I think it was the right thing to do. Their son did this unspeakable horrible thing, but they are still members of the community. They are affected too. I think most people in the city appreciate how the family came forward almost immediately after he was identified.I certainly don't think he's doing the right thing, for anyone.
Faisal Hussain went around killing and maiming innocent people.
The public is entitled to know about Faisal Hussain, what his beliefs were and how he got a gun.
Gosh, that’s not at all what I understood when I read the statement (allegedly) written by the family. IMO they’re absolutely devastated, well beyond imagination if any one of us were suddenly placed in the same horrible situation. I thought it was quite noble of them to acknowledge their shared grief with the victims, rather than defend their son. Neither TPS nor SIU have released any further details but I don’t read anything into the statement indicating their intent is to shut down the investigation whatsoever.

He visited ISIS websites and clearly knew his way around a weapon and how to kill. Has nothing to do with islamaphobia or hate--just using logic.
I was inquiring about a link to the pic you posted. We need to post a link, otherwise, the post may be deleted.
That's what I figured, and that's why I replied with the links. First to show where it came from and then the link is to the image itself. Is there a problem?I was inquiring about a link to the pic you posted. We need to post a link, otherwise, the post may be deleted.![]()
The suspected gunman in the Danforth mass shooting Sunday night in Toronto was known to police for having a history of mental health concerns dating back to 2010.
A police source told Global News that 29-year-old Faisal Hussain had previously been apprehended by Toronto police twice under the mental health act.

iEven if this tragedy is proven to have been a racially motivated hate crime that will not be an overly alarming finding nor is it a one-sided issue.
Hate crimes against Muslims in Canada increase 253% over four years
Wow! How horrible!
Has MSM printed a retraction or clarification of this obviously dubious press release by this?

From link.
To date, no member of the Hussain family has spoken publicly or made any direct contact with media. Reports describe a family facing extensive challenges, as Hussain’s father is reportedly in and out of hospital with health issues, Hussain’s brother is in a coma and his sister died in a car crash several years ago.
.....
It seems that the “family” is the mother, w/ sister deceased, brother in coma & father in and out of hospital it’s the mother’s statement, which I don’t believe.
#Breaking - From #Canada’s Public Security Minister Ralph Goodale re: #ISIS claim of responsibility in #DanforthAttack #Toronto :
“Toronto Police remain the lead and it's still early in the investigation.
At this time, there is no national security nexus to the shooter.”
