Does anyone know about DG's physical stature? It would take a pretty strong person to murder 3 people, then drag their bodies to a vehicle, unload them at the farm and...do whatever he did. A huge amount of physical and mental "strength" (for lack of a better word).

Then this:

"Based on CCTV video, police are looking for a Ford F-150 truck that was seen driving around the area several times in the course of the night. Police want to speak with anyone who was in that vehicle, or who may have more information about it. "

Last one:
"Employing a high-end security system that includes closed-circuit television, one particularly tall home recorded video of the truck circling the neighbourhood a few times during those crucial hours between Jennifer O’Brien dropping off her son Nathan with his grandparents after their weekend estate sale, and her return the next morning."

Rural people burn their garbage, which normally means non-recyclable paper and burnable products. Food garbage is usually composted, recyclables are stored and recycled, and other garbage is taken to the dump. It is not true that all garbage is burned, although that is the impression given. The bottom line is that if all garbage was burned, the burn barrel would have to be replaced too often.

Has it been determined what the burn pile was used for? Was that just where they emptied the barrel?

I know many folks who live on rural properties around Calgary and northern Alberta. Everyone's situation is slightly different. Those that live close to a dumping station or landfill will collect their garbage and take it in periodically. Some burn their garbage. Some compost food waste but it is pretty rare. Recycling plastics and cardboard/paper seems to be pretty uncommon as well.

Burn piles, from what I have seen, are usually used for larger garbage burns. These are generally used for bigger burns of yard waste, fallen/pruned trees, large amounts of cardboard, etc. Burn barrels are for everyday household garbage.

It's Alberta. I think they hand out shotguns when you are born.

I was born and raised in Alberta and never, ever owned a gun or had guns around - neither did any of my friends or other family.

There are so many ways to move heavier 'items'.
I am not strong to say the least, but I was able to move a 240 lb item easily with aids...ie straps
when there is a plan anything can be done by one person.

IMO from up close appears to be approx 5'8" and roughly 160lbs. I was surprised and believe I described him as slight and wiry.

Note to self: Get Linike to help me move that darn fridge in the garage.

Valerie Fortney ‏@ValFortney 37s37 seconds ago
Alexon is describing procedure for going through crime scene, says "when we attend any scene, we do what's called a walk-through." #Garland

Lucie Edwardson ‏@MetroLucie 1m1 minute ago
Kim Ross is questioning Alexon. Asks if main job was to photograph. Alexon confirms, says he sometimes packages evidence. #Garland #yyc

Interesting to learn stuff like this (to me):

Cst. Alexon explaining the proceedure FCSU uses to process a scene - walkthrough, then videotape, then photograph the scene #garland

Testimony in the trial is specific - the three victims were killed on the farm near Airdrie. The DNA testimony is still underway with forensic investigator Alexon testifying - I think he will be on the stand for a long while. Likely to have him testify to findings at the farm too? RCMP became involved at that stage so I could be wrong (a jurisdictional issue). Big question mark.
Alexon collected and documented. We should hear from a lab person what tests they did and the results to tie this all together.

Alexon says he took photos at the #Garland farm - including footwear. Asked if he took photos to compared to footprints at Liknes home.

Kevin MartinVerified account ‏@KMartinCourts 2m2 minutes ago
Const. Alexon did not photograph footwear of first responders or Jennifer O'Brien but believes his sergeant did. #garland

First responders would not have access to booties and bunny suits used by crime scenes unit investigators, says Alexon. #garland

Lucie Edwardson ‏@MetroLucie 3m3 minutes ago
Alexon says sometimes ask first responders for info on footwear they were wearing at scene, not sure if this was done at Likneses #Garland

Lucie Edwardson ‏@MetroLucie 3m3 minutes ago
Whereas Alexon and FCSU might have access to booties, gloves and body suites, Alexon says first-responders don't always have access #Garland

I don't think he was doing autopsies, but rather learning how to dismember a body with the right tools.

We will learn about all the sites he went to on his computer. Hopefully he did not have a fascination with autopsies.

Pic of mop...
Lucie Edwardson ‏@MetroLucie 2m2 minutes ago
Ross is asking Alexon about this photo. Did he have the task to send this away for analysis? "Not in this case," said Alexon. #Garland #yyc

How do I embed a pic rather than a link to a pic?

Blind in Liknes spare bedroom appeared torn down, or had fallen off, but Alexon agrees he has no idea when that happened. #garland

Valerie Fortney ‏@ValFortney 2m2 minutes ago
"You have no idea how long it had been like that?" says Ross about the torn window blind in Liknes home. Cst. Alexon agrees. #Garland

Nancy HixtVerified account ‏@NancyHixt 2m2 minutes ago
Cst. Alexon said he also took pictures of fingerprints on the front door of the Liknes home, but again, wasn't involved in analysis #garland
