Just weighing in on the theory that perhaps she was kept alive for a while... I remember when her body was found the police saying they could identify her by sight.. does this mean she hadn't been there long? She was missing almost a month so you'd think if her body had been there that whole time it would have decayed severely and not been able to be identified just by looking at it? I remember thinking this when they first found her
Hmmm it sure is a horrible thought that they kept her!!!Poor Amber, may she rest in peace now!

New Glasgow Police have arrested a man in Heathbell, near New Glasgow.
Chris Falconer, 29, was convicted of the second-degree murder of a cab driver who was killed in Heathbell in 1998.
Falconer is now out of prison on parole.
Police stressed to CBC News that the arrest has nothing to do with the Amber Kirwan homicide investigation.
JMO: he may be involved but his arrest may be for something else until the police can find evidence to tie him to the crime.
He's out on parole? WTF?
Falconer was one of two men convicted of second-degree murder in the killing of cab driver Bob LeBlanc on Heathbell Road in 1998.
Police confirmed to CTV News that Falconer was picked up on Brother Street in New Glasgow, not far from where a car was seized Monday afternoon on Vale Road.
Witnesses say Falconer was walking down the street when he was approached by police and patted down Wednesday afternoon. They say he was then taken away in a police vehicle.
He would have been 16 at the time, young offender sentencing I guess.
Is he out now or was on parole but now in prison? The sentence you highlited in your post says he's out on parole now?
The home, which sits on a little more than two acres of land, is located about a kilometre from the end of Heathbell Road where Kirwans body was discovered this past weekend.
Rudolph said a number of resources are on the scene, including New Glasgow Police, RCMP, police dogs and the forensic unit.
He was picked up separately from a vehicle. I wonder if this vehicle was filmed at Dooley's that night?

Heathbell home sealed off in Kirwan investigation
....they expected to be there through the night and into Thursday.
....Police said they are treating the area like a major crime scene, but would not go as far to say if they believe Kirwan was killed there.

HARDWOOD HILL A mobile home located five kilometres up the Hardwood Hill Road from Lyons Brook continues to be the focus of a police search in relation to the death of 19-year-old Amber Kirwan.
The home, which sits on a little more than two acres of land, is located about a kilometer from the end of Heathbell Road where Kirwans body was discovered this past weekend.
Forensic officers were scouring the homes outside property Wednesday afternoon before pulling five vehicles and the command unit into the homes driveway. A travel trailer is located next to the home in the same lot.
