A few tweets on how the defence wants the jury to view Campbell's story. Read from bottom up.
-----

10:08
Sueann Musick:
Never attempt after her remains found, they never looked at items again. You have to wonder why.

10:08
Sueann Musick:
Review evidence to see if he is being truthful. DAys later his car searched and duct tape and shovel found. Items never examined by police because searched before remains found.

10:07
Sueann Musick:
After gets home, he decides he is going to look for her again. DRives a few hundred meters and see a few taxis coming to residence. None stop, Instead of turning around again and searches, he goes home, goes into house and stays there rest of evening.

10:06
Sueann Musick:
You heard him say why he didn't want to go by Dooleys because he was drinking or high. He told police he didn't want to go downtown because he wasn't suppose to be driving after midnight. I don't think you can accept all his evidence at face value.

10:05
Sueann Musick:
He stops in Legion, looks, drives around some more. Eventually drives Muir home in STellarton. EVen though he knows she doesn't like being alone at night.

10:04
Sueann Musick:
She should be there before he gets there in car. He drives to Big Al's so he keeps going. In statement to police, he drove to Big Al's waited a couple minutes. There are small inconsistencies in his story.

10:04
Sueann Musick:
We heard from Mason Campbell evening that Amber Kirwan went missing. He leaves house within minutes of call to pick him up. He said he took Ian Muir with him but never heard from Muir.

Yes, indeedy, this is a 'big one.'

He is a good lawyer, though. I think he is giving an excellent closing.

-----

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC3 mins
Taylor thanks the jury. He is finished presenting his closing argument.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC4 mins
Defence lawyer Mike Taylor says "this isn't a sniff test. This is about reasonable doubt."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC4 mins
Taylor also points out that Falconer didn't know Meier wasn't home that night.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC5 mins
Taylor says the camper was not secure. The door didn't work. "Anyone could have gotten into that trailer any time they wanted to."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC6 mins
Taylor now talking about Falconer's text message to Alice Meier saying he had been in the camper trailer.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC6 mins
Taylor says "it's not exact" and jury doesn't need to accept cell phone expert Aboumitri's opinion as fact.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC7 mins
Taylor now talking about cell towers and phone records. He urges jury to have a discussion about that evidence.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC8 mins
Taylor says "people say things they don't mean all the time. This is a big one." He says Falconer made comment about pleading guilty once.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC10 mins
Taylor says Falconer was feeling down and defeated and he wanted to take the pressure off his family.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC3 mins
Taylor talking about phone call between Falconer and his father.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC3 mins
Taylor says "chances aren't great, but it's still possible."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC4 mins
Taylor now referring to fibres from blue blanket allegedly found on tank top. He says it could have been from another source.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC5 mins
Taylor says investigators stopped pursuing DNA of unknown person because they were focusing on Falconer. He wonders why,

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC6 mins
Taylor suggests that perhaps someone else wore that shirt.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC7 mins
Falconer's DNA was found on the back tag of shirt.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC7 mins
Taylor says regions on shirt that were tested for DNA- armpits, neck, etc had no sign of Falconer's DNA.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC9 mins
Taylor says the evidence is significant for "what was not found" on that shirt.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC10 mins
Taylor points out another unknown person's DNA was also found on the shirt.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC11 mins
Taylor says DNA expert Suzanski confirmed samples from shirt were tested 4 times.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC12 mins
Mike Taylor says what was found on the black tank top was significant.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC12 mins
Taylor now talking about the black tank top. He says there's no proof it was Chris Falconer's shirt. He says it just looked like his shirt.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC13 mins
He points out that Alice Meier said it had been broken for a while.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC14 mins
Taylor now talking about broken window in Falconer's car. He focused on this a lot during trial.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC1 min
Taylor says it also doesn't make sense that Falconer would grab the evidence in front of other people and throw it in the car.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC2 mins
Taylor says it's convenient that this "evidence package" was there after car was cleaned.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC3 mins
Taylor points out that Robson cleaned Falconer's car. He says the bag she touched was not the same bag later found in the car.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC5 mins
Taylor calls it the "evidence package." He asks jury to question why that bag was there weeks after Kirwan went missing.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC6 mins
The shirt had blood and both Kirwan and Falconer's DNA on it.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC7 mins
Taylor says the "nicely packaged evidence" found in Falconer's car is highly suspicious. He is talking about the plastic bag with shirt."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC8 mins
Taylor says the box of latex gloves found in Falconer's car is speculative evidence. He says they are commercial gloves found anywhere.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC10 mins
Taylor says the trace evidence of Tylenol and caffeine in water bottle found as evidence also not conclusive.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC11 mins
Taylor says Amber Kirwan was obviously there, but no evidence ties Falconer to that location.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC12 mins
Taylor now talking about the camper trailer.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC12 mins
Taylor says nothing links Falconer to the burial site either.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC13 mins
Taylor says there is "nothing, nothing at all that pins Christopher Falconer to that site."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC14 mins
Taylor now talking about clothes found in Heathbell. He says there is no question they belonged to Amber Kirwan.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC15 mins
Taylor points out how cooperative Falconer was in that police interview.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC15 mins
Taylor suggests thanksgiving weekend wasn't a special weekend for Falconer.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC16 mins
Taylor says "asking someone to recall what they did 3 weeks ago is not going to be a simple task."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC3 mins
Taylor now talking about Falconer's police questioning. A recording was played in court last week.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC4 mins
Taylor suggests "someone would have heard something,"

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC4 mins
Taylor says no one outside Dooly's heard any sort of commotion that Amber Kirwan was dragged into a car.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC5 mins
Taylor refers to Kirwan's father's testimony that his daughter was safety conscious. Taylor says she wouldn't get in car with just anyone.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC9 mins
Taylor says Campbell also originally lied to police about being drunk, high and driving with no insurance or registration.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC11 mins
Taylor now focusing on Mason Campbell's testimony. He points out inconsistencies in his recollection of events too.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC12 mins
Ebrahim testified that Falconer asked her to lie for him.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC12 mins
Taylor says the fact that Ebrahim and Falconer had no follow-up questions about that lie doesn't make sense.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC13 mins
Taylor says Ebrahim's testimony that Falconer asked her to lie for him is also questionable.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC14 mins
Taylor says Ebrahim's testimony was "all over the map."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC15 mins
Taylor says she gave very inconsistent statements. He points out she didn't remember much and ha to ask friends for timeline of events.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC16 mins
Defence says Jerricka Ebrahim is completely unreliable as a witness.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC17 mins
Taylor says we didn't hear from Dean, so it's impossible to know what she did with that prescription.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC18 mins
Taylor says Rosalee Dean or "Fred" as she is known had a prescription for Tylenol 3s. Taylor says this means nothing.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC19 mins
Taylor says first impressions aren't always real. He is discrediting her as a reliable witness.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC19 mins
Taylor asks jury to focus on text messages Tiffany Robson had with many people.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC20 mins
Taylor says there was nothing on that pill bottle that connects it to Falconer, except for where it was found.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC21 mins
Taylor says the pill bottle did not have Falconer's fingerprints.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC22 mins
Taylor points out that Robson said Falconer had Tylenol 3s wrapped in plastic, not a pill bottle. A pill bottle was found in Falconer's car.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC24 mins
Taylor wonders why Robson brought that story forward just 3 weeks ago. He suggests it is "highly suspicious."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC25 mins
Taylor points out that Robson was jealous and didn't ask Falconer questions about his apparent suicide attempt. He questions her story.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC26 mins
Taylor now bringing up Tiffany Robson's testimony that Falconer always had Tylenol 3s on him and that he tried to commit suicide.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC27 mins
Taylor says "all we know is those substances were found in her system." He says we don't know what that means.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC29 mins
Caffeine was found in Kirwan's body. He suggests it may not be linked to Tylenol as suggested by crown.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC30 mins
Taylor asks jury to remember that Kirwan was drinking rockstars the night she went missing. It's a caffeine drink.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC31 mins
Taylor says in the beginning of trial, the jury heard from friends of Kirwan. He reminds them those witnesses were intoxicated.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC32 mins
Taylor asks jury to mix all evidence. He urges the term "common sense."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC33 mins
Defence lawyer Mike Taylor says this isn't going to be a simple matter. He says "there are going to be issues intertwined with one another."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC34 mins
Mike Taylor says his intention is not to fool the jury.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC34 mins
Taylor says there are plenty pieces of evidence that don't say much at all.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC35 mins
Taylor says there is no "smoking gun" in this case.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC36 mins
Taylor asks jury to use common sense and ask "why didn't we see this, why didn't we hear that?"

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC37 mins
Taylor asks jury to pay close attention to "what wasn't found in this case."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC38 mins
Taylor tells jury to "not jump to conclusions."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC38 mins
Mike Taylor says some of the evidence is "difficult to follow."

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC39 mins
Taylor tells jury to not be afraid to raise a point they think is important. He says there are no stupid questions.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC40 mins
Taylor encourages the jury to play devil's advocate with one another.

Angela MacIvor‏@AngMacIvorCBC40 mins

Sueann Musick:

Test is beyond a reasonable doubt. It's a high test the crown has to meet. Only conclusion you can draw is that not just cf could have killed amber kirwan. For that reason I ask for an acquittal.

Taylor finishes. Morning recess.

Black tank top found in accused car found in a bag. What else was in that bag of interest. Sobeys bag with Accused's fingerrprints, pill bottle, partially used role of duct tape.

11:27
Sueann Musick:
The site DNA found in the wearer DNA... His tank top. He was the wearer. AK didn't know the accused. She didn't know Alice Meier. Why would her DNA be there. She was there. Look at stains on the tank top. Brown stains that on that, a positive presumptive test for human blood.

Sueann Musick:
I ask you to consider fibers found on black tank top and actual words of accused of where he spent the night. The accused was in that camper with AK. He was there at that morning. I ask you to use your logic, common sense and everyday experience. Evidence points there to that man. That's where they point.

11:40
Sueann Musick:
No camera imagery to show you. Only logical common sense conclusion is he was downtown NG at 146 a.m. and made his way to Heathbell immediately after AK went missing. He confirms his location and where he spent the night in his text messages.
