I just came across this list of key players in the case, and thought I would link it. It gives a bit of background on the attorneys, which I didn't know before.

John Brannen from the New Glasgow News made the following timeline from recent testimony, and included two pictures. The links off to the side of each picture will take you to a larger verson of it. The white ribbons are much more clearly visible at the link; and it must have been on this side that they found her earrings hanging from a bush/tree.

They initially searched the side of the road with the white ribbons about 5 days after she had gone missing, and two weeks passed before they thought to check the other side.

That is when they found Amber.
