That's possible ... maybe someone who didn't know the code

If I'm not mistaken AGAIN - only TWO people knew the code. Audrey + the handyman!! (So he's said..........)

From Hazel's post:

<<< This is what PK had to say about Audrey's garage-door keypad:
Quote:
I can say that the code was not required to close the door and most of the time when Audrey was inside, the garage door would be closed.

see: last sentence, second paragraph
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sho...07#post7145607 >>>

And that's exactly what I was saying here:

<<< I just ran out to the mudroom to have a look at the garage. I was wrong:

1. The keypad outdoors DOES require a CODE.

2. Outside of the mudroom, beside the door which locks to the inside of our home. there is A BUTTON WHICH DOES NOT REQUIRE A CODE. You just hit the button and the garage door begins to close. This is the button my husband hit the day he was nearly crushed by the rapidly closing garage door.

Aploogies for the confusion.......MY confusion!!:blushing:

Oops, sorry everyone :blushing:

I thought the information on the keypad from the other case was relevant to A's.

I had read PK's post :blushing:

Don't suppose he would offer the information if it wasn't true.

Hey Jade, it's OK. In my humble opinion, your post IS relevant to Audrey's case.

Thanks for your info!!

Killing for financial gain can't be obvious - imo it has to look like a crazed maniac committed the crime for the motive of lust for rape and murder. I think that is what happened to AG.

I'm thinking the footprints were wrong for a crazed killing, which pointed LE back to someone known to AG - ie staged. PK made no mention of seeing bloody footprints leading out of the garage or anywhere else - not that he had to.

I think the killer put on coveralls and footwear brought with them to commit AG's murder. Then took the now bloody outerwear off and put them in a plastic bag in order to carry them away, and carry them in a vehicle where no trace would likely be found, or lessening the chances of that.

Imo, there was enough money that one would only have to do this once.

This is all I could find from PK's posts that might relate to footprints at the crime scene:
As everyone knows, I was interviewed extensively, my car and person searched, myself and shoes were measured and photographed and DNA was collected from me in the first round of investigation where I was originally eliminated.

Wondering again ... if AG ever had her car detailed. Did she take her car to the detailer and have them take her home and then deliver her car.

 • #566
The Hamilton Spec was placed in a plastic bag and tossed onto the driveway between 7and 8am. The mail was delivered to the mailbox mid morning.

 • #567
I read that a young couple bought the property, and were building a new home on it.
The young couple lived down the street from Audrey. I read that in two parts - one on the facebook and the rest I believe it was the Hamilton newspaper (a young couple down the street bought the home).

I wonder why the police did not talk to Audrey's brother-in-law, as he did offer to help with the investigation. I found that interesting.

This is a little creepy only because I just found out about it and this was a retired teacher from my kids school. Never heard a word about it. Even though there are many similarities I'm pretty sure its not related to AG.

 No kidding this is creepy! Lots of parallels here. Too many, actually.

Could someone please tell me if AG's property was actually listed for sale at any time (either exclusive listing or MLS).

I think Woodland alluded to the info being publicly available, but I have no clue where to find it.

Thanks !!

I don't know anything about the house being listed or not. Only the sale.

Listings come and go, not sure they can be looked up after the fact by the public.

QUESTIONS:

1. Did the couple who bought Audrey's house ever LIVE in the house?

2. Does anyone know - how much planning and money need to be put into a place which is about to be bulldized?

Thanks,
Stone

:blushing:Many apologies for being an idiot..............

NOTE TO EVERYONE: Please IGNORE my posts about keypads. I must be a nutbar.........

Quoting myself:

DO read my posts about the garage opener. I am neither an idiot nor a nutbar.

My explanations about the garage opener/closer might be of significance here.

Thanks,

Bear with me peeps .. I hope the following makes sense.

I can’t quite figure out how the "new" owner shown on the 2012 “Major Construction Projects” came into play, but google shows two names somehow affiliated with that Powerline Rd addy, one of whom owns the realty company but lives acoss the street from LV, the other a realtor who appears on FB as friends with the 2011 purchasers.

Questions I have in trying to determine how this circle was formed:

How was LV (Brantford) put together with the 2011 purchasers or their parents (Indian Trail, directly across from Audrey’s), considering that the current owner (a company) is owned by someone who happens to be LV’s Brantford neighbour?

IOW, did LV initially contact her neighbour in 2011 to enquire if he knew of someone who would be interested in purchasing the property > and that Brantford neighbour just happened to not only know Audrey’s neighbour but also knew that they / their relatives would be interested.

OR

Did LV’s Brantford neighbour know Audrey’s Indian Trail neighbour before Audrey was killed, knew that their relatives would be interested, and he called LV to say he had a buyer, and/or did he know that specific neighbour was interested in any additional property on Indian Trail?

OR did the neighbour on Indian Trail contact LV’s Brantford neighbour after Audrey’s death to advise his relatives were interested in the Indian Trail property and LV’s Brantford neighbour put them in contact with LV?

IF the Indian Trail neighbour was interested in the property for his relatives, why would he not just contact LV directly, or perhaps Audrey before her death to ask if she would consider selling?

Bear with me peeps .. I hope the following makes sense.

I can’t quite figure out how the "new" owner shown on the 2012 “Major Construction Projects” came into play, but google shows two names somehow affiliated with that Powerline Rd addy, one of whom owns the realty company but lives acoss the street from LV, the other a realtor who appears on FB as friends with the 2011 purchasers.Coinkindinky?

Questions I have in trying to determine how this circle was formed:

How was LV (Brantford) put together with the 2011 purchasers or their parents (Indian Trail, directly across from Audrey’s), considering that the current owner (a company) is owned by someone who happens to be LV’s Brantford neighbour?Just plain weird.

IOW, did LV initially contact her neighbour in 2011 to enquire if he knew of someone who would be interested in purchasing the property > and that Brantford neighbour just happened to not only know Audrey’s neighbour but also knew that they / their relatives would be interested.Seems too farfetched!

OR

Did LV’s Brantford neighbour know Audrey’s Indian Trail neighbour before Audrey was killed, knew that their relatives would be interested, and he called LV to say he had a buyer, and/or did he know that specific neighbour was interested in any additional property on Indian Trail?Seems a tad rude to Audrey.

OR did the neighbour on Indian Trail contact LV’s Brantford neighbour after Audrey’s death to advise his relatives were interested in the Indian Trail property and LV’s Brantford neighbour put them in contact with LV? I don't feel "right" about this scenario.

IF the Indian Trail neighbour was interested in the property for his relatives, why would he not just contact LV directly, or perhaps Audrey before her death to ask if she would consider selling? This is a BIG question.

Well doesn't this look fishy?

ETA:

Placed my comments in the quote. (SB, I'm bearing with you here!!) :)

 • #576
Yes, first blush says "fishy", but there could be some reasonable explanation for it. We just don't know what that might be. So hopefully LE will have followed this path to see how/where it went.

 • #577
Oh, I truly want to think that LE is following all trails. :please:

A response to SB's point:

We have had many real estate agents phoning/leaving notes at our door asking if we were interested in selling our previous house. So, to be fair........and I'm sure other WSers have had the same experience.

Stone, I'm not quite following how that might fit into the above circles. Can you explain please and thanks !

 • #580
Sure - it seemed to fit (at least to me) with one of your queries in the "bear with me" post. The point about someone wanting to purchase the house and telling LV that they'd be interested IF Audrey wanted to sell.

Did that make sense?

Now, further questions:

- was Audrey's area/property a highly sought-after place to the general public to purchase?

- was Audrey's house and contents completely disposed of OR did some things (fridge, convection oven, TV's) either given to charity or sold seperately?
