I wonder when Audrey was asked , or took it upon herself, to try to arrange the wedding photographer.

I wonder this as well. First, why would a handyman ask an elderly woman to help him find a photographer? And, if he didn't ask, why would AG even consider trying to locate a photographer for the couple?

And I'm still thinking of LE's composite of the guy seen walking along SL's road the day of her attack.

First: Happy New Year to all members!

:newyear:

Since the end of the year 2013 my wishes are on thread #8, but another thread than this. Yesterday I noticed the double thread; no idea why this is possible?!?! The thread has another layout than this, where I'm now.

To costs for wedding photographs AG might have assumed, see link:

http://www.johnhartigphotography.com/prices.html

JH's travel lasted from 27.12.2010 to 3.1.2011, if I'm not wrong.

AG and JH had been friends since Mohawk College (he on her email list) and therefore perhaps AG did chose him for wedding photographs, but sorted him out because of lack of equipment (no back-up camera).
AG never had been a professional photographer; why did she know enough to critisize JH?
Why didn't JH buy a back-up camera to get this job? (Later he did.)

Wondering what and where is, the " double thread " ?
Once I found a complete duplicate of this thread on line, never figured out what it was..

Dunno ... the photographer said she met the fiancée when she worked at the S*******s coffee shop and asked her to do their wedding.

Dunno ... the photographer said she met the fiancée when she worked at the S*******s coffee shop and asked her to do their wedding.

So then, apparently AG did not know that a photographer had already been chosen.

That means the idea of JH doing the photography was a moot point. To the couple, at least.

Not really ... we'd have to know when JH was asked by Audrey in relation to when the other was asked by the fiancée.

Why is everyone sleuthing the photographer? I'm pretty sure the blog was declared off limits a week or so ago.

Here is the social media rule. Please read it and then explain to me how JH fits into this rule.

Social Networks

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)

Also, social networking pages may only be linked if they are directly related to a case, i.e. the victim or suspect. We don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman, or postal carrier just because they know the main player. We also NEVER link to minor's pages (unless they are the victim). And be sure that the page actually belongs to the person being discussed. Do not link to someone if you are not 100% sure it is the correct person. And if a social networking is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

I believe it goes to trying to determine if there might be a connection between Audrey's death and the attack on SL in Mono .. in that respect, the wedding photography aspect could be a common denominator as it relates to victimology. I believe we have been paraphrasing and using initials rather than linking up.

Other than that, i'll shut up ;)

AND ... (okay, I didn't say for how long .. next time I will :floorlaugh:)

One of the biggest puzzles in Audrey's case happens to be the Amazing Grace video by Andre Rieu, the Austrian violinist. Audrey's photographer friend is Austrian and a violinist. Again considering victimology, is there a clue therein that Audrey's killer may have been someone jealous of her admiration for, well .. Austrian violinists?

Salem ... stop me before I post again !!!!

Okay - well my understanding is that JH was on a cruise at the time of Audrey's murder. Is there anything that disputes that? If so, give me a link.

There are no POI's or suspects at this time according to LE. We need to be respectful of Audrey's friends and not be dragging them through our threads, kwim?

PK advised WS that he is a POI according to LE - thread #2, page 9, post #201.

FYI... the police have restarted the investigation "from scratch" so officially I've been told that I am a person of interest again.

This article dated 21 Sep 2011 says the same thing -

But in mid-August police asked him to take a polygraph test — lie detector — and he agreed. A detective told him flat out that he was a person of interest. Phil understood why police were spending time with him.

This may have already been discussed because I really am not all that familiar with this case as many of the posters are, but is it possible that Aubrey was seeing someone she did not want her friends to know about. The fact that she never allowed people into her home and asked that she be given plenty of notice prior to arriving makes me wonder if she may have been hiding a relationship that may have caused problems had her friends known about it. I not talking about someone her friends knew but possibly someone they did not. Someone who may have had a partner or spouse who found out about their relationship.

As I said before I do not know much about this case and I can see her wanting notice before someone "came over" but not letting friends in her home seems very strange. Also the car. Not a car for practical reasons but more of an attention getter. Anyone know why she purchased that car instead of a vehicle she could drive all year long?

There is an article LambChop that AG always drove a late model Camaro. Will try to find it.

Yes, I did know that. Hey, I'm up there in years like Audrey was but I drive an Avalon. Now if I wanted to attract a male partner I might buy something sporty that the guys might like. Camaros are not good in snow, I know that much so it's just curious why she would have it when you can only drive it about 1/2 of the year. jmo

- in the same email, AG lets PK know she still wants to attend her coffee group on Wednesday (imo another day that would not be a good day for a visit)
imo

Have wondered about the timing of AG's communication to the coffee group, so went looking for the source for clarification.

Thread 1 - very first post, Spec article dated 1 Jan 2011 - 2 days after AG was found deceased.

Gleave had e-mailed someone in their group to say she was not feeling well and wouldn’t make it to Wednesday’s coffee meet-up, he said.

The article does not state when the e-mail was sent or to whom.

http://www.thespec.com/news-story/2182849-police-investigating-ancaster-area-homicide/

From a Spec article dated 5 Jan 2011 -

Gleave also met with former Westdale Secondary School colleagues for coffee every Wednesday. She cancelled last Monday, saying she was ill.

The article does not quote a source.

http://www.thespec.com/news-story/2182146-friends-remember-audrey-gleave/

The last e-mail sent from AG's computer is reported to be to neighbor LF on the evening of 27 Dec 2010 but wonder if LE knows different.

On another forum, there is discussion regarding missing bank statements.

I don't remember anything about this at the time of AG's murder.

Went looking for the source of this ros as it has been mentioned from time to time.

Items were thought to be missing early on, according to LE and some items were found during a ground search - Spec article dated 4 Jan 2011.

There are items missing from Audrey's house, he says. What they are, he won't say. Valuables? Trophies?

Some items have been found during the ground searches. He again won't say what they are and adds detectives do not know for sure they relate to the homicide.

http://www.thespec.com/news-story/2182067-a-complicated-vicious-killing/

Not sure if ground search could also include the home and or garage.

Then, a friend of LV's relates info to someone who posted here - that no items were missing from the home. Thread #1, page 8, post #185

It did not appear that there had been any theft of items from the home.

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Audrey Gleave, retired teacher, viciously murdered in home, Ancaster Ontario

Then in thread #2, page 19, post #454 the same friend states there was no banking info in AG's purse or home.

There was no banking information in her purse, nor could LV find banking records in the house.

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Audrey Gleave, retired teacher, viciously murdered in home, Ancaster Ontario, #2

So it might be that missing items got mixed up with missing bank statements at some point later on.

Either way, missing bank info of any kind would have few sources imo - the executor of AG's estate would be one. Friends cleaning out AG's home might have thought banking info was missing, however they could have been removed prior to clean-out day.

No, this doesn't open the door on PK. LE have not named him as a POI/suspect publicly. LE has great leeway to say things in hopes of getting a reaction or finding another clue. They have evidence or they wouldn't have let DS go. If the evidence led to PK, we would know it by now. Until LE states publicly that he is a POI/suspect, he is not open for sleuthing.

Thanks,

Salem

Well, I live in The Great White North where it's been snow-squalling (is that a word?) for five days now and I drive a 'Vette. And, I ain't no spring chicken! :blushing:

I think (from all I've read about Audrey) she simply loved Camaros the way I love 'Vettes.

NOTE: I have no links in this post, therefore I am pretty much scared to death I've done something wrong!! :scared:

No your post is fine. Just your opinion. No link needed. I love Mustangs but as a practical matter and being a woman I would not spend my money on one unless I were dating someone very special who really enjoyed Mustangs. LOL
