Possible attackers = did a group of former students plan a prank and it got out of hand, went too far? Thinking out loud again.
Wow, that is "new", but I also see in that article another change in specific detail, no longer is it a whole cake but now a piece of cake to be dropped off.“One or more assailants “. Is this new, did it get dropped? I recall LE talking about how vicious her attack was. Horrible.
Would AG have to register her new spiffy car at one of these places? speculation.![]()
Service Ontario employees among 28 people charged after police bust major auto-theft organizations
More than 200 stolen cars have been recovered and 28 people have been charged, including an unspecified number of Service Ontario employees, in connection with the dismantling of three auto-theft based criminal organizations.toronto.ctvnews.ca
"In addition to a string of violent carjackings, vehicle owners have also seen their property removed from their driveways in the middle of the night."
How long was this group operating before the investigation? It would be convenient to have the addresses of the sought-after cars, then custom steal for clients.
It would be helpful to know if these registry employees had access to all vehicle licence information for the province, or just the ones they renewed in person.Would AG have to register her new spiffy car at one of these places? speculation.

Surely there would be no need to describe a domed-lid Tupperware cake container left in a car for a single piece of fruit bread. I'd really hate to lose that detail. The 'new' article is from 2020.. it was posted previously on the thread here:

CANADA - Canada - Audrey Gleave, 73, Ancaster ON, 30 Dec 2010 #9
So, as I have said before, I have followed the AG case closely for a long time. Own the Jon Wells book, live near location, the whole shebang. Recently, I decided to poke around in unsolved murders in the smaller towns and surroundings, looking for any similarities at all. One murder I...www.websleuths.com
The same article also appeared in The Spec at the same time:
Who killed Audrey Gleave? 'Horrendous’ Ancaster murder still unsolved
I did find one early article written by an unnamed, which said police thought 'one or more individuals'.. interestingly from the same news publisher, but no way of knowing if same author as the 2020 article. This was early info though.. and police changed their theory from 'unknown to her', to 'known to her', and also changed their theory that the sexual component may have been staged to appear to be a sexually motivated attack. Nowhere did I find an article saying that only a piece of cake was brought, however. Maybe the info was republished as an early 10th anniversary story or something? Good call to disregard the article, imho.
Gleave's body was discovered by a friend shortly before 11 a.m. on December 30. At the time police indicated the crime was likely committed by one or more individuals unknown to the victim.
Police drop charges in Gleave homicide
So let's say a "client" is interested in a late model white Camaro. These Service Ontario people could search using "white Camaro", then narrow it down to model years, pull addresses, and voila!Answering some questions above:
1. Yes, Audrey’s car would be registered with Service Ontario.
2. Yes, the employees are able to see what is registered.
When Audrey bought the car, the dealership registers the car before she would have picked it up. They do all the paperwork first, before pick up.
I wonder if the car dealership where Audrey bought her Camaro uses the same Service Ontario outlet for all of its sold vehicles, and if they used the one in Stoney Creek that has been linked to the theft ring. I'm wondering how many thefts are new vehicles sold by that particular dealership. It seems to me that car thieves would want new vehicles, not old clunkers. So let's say a "client" is interested in a late model white Camaro. Let's say she went to Stoney Creek to register her vehicle. Someone there registering her vehicle could have taken her information on the spot and alerted others without even having to do a model search. How very convenient.
Do you think anyone will bother to look into where Audrey registered her vehicle and which customer service agent took her information? It would be interesting if this vehicle theft ring led to a murder investigation.
There is a GM dealer on Lynden Road in Brantford.Thé nearest GM dealerships to her are located in Hamilton. AG would not have bought a car on Kijiji would she? I can’t see her doing that.
We've never been able to find out where she bought her vehicle. Her friends and Jon Wells might have that answer.Do they sell Camaros? Not all GM dealerships sell them. Some sell Cadillacs while others sell ´Vettes and Camaros. Rarely both.
