They each have 1 full time person looking for the killers.
I think I have to go with OJ. He has had more time to investigate his case. And he seems to have narrowed down the location of the killers in his case to a specific golf course in Nevada......

How terrible. It seems kind of weird to build such a 'home' on spec, imo. Which raises questions. Thankfully nobody was killed.

What if the TPS knew who did it, but do not have enough evidence to lay charges for a sure conviction. (I am believe the POI(s) have acess to outstanding legal resources who will post a vigorous defense.)

During this time you could expect he TPS would be surveiling the POI(s) reseaching data and other records, and waiting for another piece of evidence or witnessess to come forward.

Since the TPS knows who and what happened, there would be only a minimal need to interview anybody else. So this could be a very active investigation, even though interviews are not taking place.

Remember, the TPS only arrested Bruce McArthur, when they feared he was going to kill again. Finally I am pretty sure the POI(s) are not going anywhere, or likely to murder anybody else, so time is on the TPS's side.

I think we tend to get stuck in time. That comment was reported many months ago. But for all we know LE could’ve interviewed 10 or 20 people the following week. It reminds me of KDs reporting, proof LE was only investigating the murder of Honey at the onset because from X date to X date all the production orders were in her name (can’t remember the exact dates). But immediately after X date he later learned the warrant to search Barry’s office had been held up in Court due to corporate privacy legalities. Might that have changed the original storyline? I’d imagine it would but time passes on and people forget.

Perhaps, but what is there to stop the POI leaving the country and going to a jurisdiction where they cannot be extradited to Canada? Except maybe if they couldn't pass a COVID test before getting on the plane....
I don't have alot of confidence that TPS is observing this person 7/24 without being noticed.

In a case like this the TPS would not care if they were noticed while they were surveiling the POI(s). In fact it would put more stress on the POI(s) if they were aware of being followed.

If the POI(s) tried to leave, the TPS could lay charges and make an arrest at the border. Secondly most countries that do not have extradition treaties with Canada, I suspect would not be countries the POI(s) would want to live in. Third, the POI(s) probably have reasons that tie them with Canada, and are pretty confident they will not be charged, and they can beat the wrap in court. (Possible defense witnesses will testify it was a murder suicide and the killer is dead.)

IF there is a serious POI, the TPS does not have to watch them 24/7 as they are not a threat (in all likely hood) to others at this point.

In order to 'keep track of them leaving', they can alert 'red flag' the air/sea/etc border agents and if said POI makes an attempt to leave Canada, they'll be arrested by the 'other authorities' and held for TPS.

It would be a terrible waste of resources to be watching someone who is no longer a threat, even if you 'knew' they had committed murders three/four years ago. If you cannot make the arrest now, it can always be done later.

There are pre-boarding requirements that must be met and even on private jets you must show ID with name, photograph etc. acceptable to the government of Canada. ie passports etc

Depending on where you are going, you need visas, to meet entry requirements upon landing.

IF any police force is 'after you' they can put you on a 'No Fly' list and you'd be stopped in your tracks.

Every legal flight has a flight plan and manifest. The travellers are listed on the manifest.

The paperwork involved in flying a plane is very detailed, right down to the litres of fuel needed. Everything is weighed/guesstimated for fuel logs etc.

Not sure how the extremely wealthy travel incognito but I'm sure their 'real names' are on some filed document or other. ie Members of the RF might use an AKA, can the average billionaire?? I dunno.

I am pretty sure that a wealthy person could ensure that upon landing in said foreign jurisdiction that they would be able to clear that country’s entry process. all speculation of course.

TPS would send information to Interpol, RCMP etc and people would be detained before even getting near a ship/plane etc.

Even private planes, as I stated, have to file flight plans and manifests.

Wealth does not exempt people from needing legal paperwork to enter and exit foreign countries.

The ONLY person that I know of who can travel without documentation is The Queen of England. Mind you, she has a rather large entourage and can be identified on a five dollar bill or British Pound note.

Unless, of course, you are speaking of bribes and that could be very dicy.

Its also more of a 'movie thing' as they would not have left Canada due to 'No Fly lists' and the RCMP/Interpol.

I threw in 'incognito' not as a practical question but as an anticipatory one.
