So, to me, it looks like the cop told them to put booties on if for no other reason to look good for the media? They are looking right at the cop when they are without booties.

I don’t recall the order in which they were removed. I posted the photos from two different sources. There is video of them somewhere of them being removed which shows the order.

I'm now wondering if LE found a suicide note left by the killer and that's why LE jumped to the wrong conclusion?

Yes, I always thought their wrists were bound separately. Not together.

There’s no indication that the Shermans were tied to each other, if that’s what you mean. We just know there were injuries to their wrists which show they were restrained at some point, but no ligatures were found at the scene.

Yes, I’m still puzzled by how they removed the remains, what they were wearing in terms of crime scene wear, and why this was done in full view of the media. They removed both of the deceased at the time.

They look like they are from the funeral home, I think, based on the way they are dressed. They would take them to wherever the autopsies are performed.

I agree. I was just curious about the lack of outerwear, considering the house was a crime scene.

I missed that "they were bound together" at some point. I always thought they were bound separately.

I think that's the NYT's making an assumption. It was only revealed after the second autopsy that there was evidence that their hands had been bound by something that left marks on the wrists, even though they were not bound when found. And nothing was found at the crime scene.

OK, thanks. I misread the NYT article that said they were bound together. That’s how I interpreted it.

This could potentially be deceiving. It's possible the top pic is showing the gurney being wheeled INTO the house (notice the blanket(?) on top is a diff color and looks like a bunch of blankets on the gurney, and no booties.. while the bottom pic, the guys look more solemn, and have the booties on.. and appear to have a corpse on the gurney covered with something different.

It IS odd they would do this in full view of the media, presumably that is the front door of the home.. when they had complete privacy at their disposal with the underground garage... however, they may not have wanted to contaminate that area, both garage and basement level?

Possible but still shouldn’t they have booties on going in and out? JMO

Wouldn't it be extremely not right, for funeral home employees to take the bodies to the autopsy location.. aren't police required to remain with a body at least until it reaches the ME? I suppose the bodies could have still been taken via funeral home people with police also present??

ETA see my post below, which states that police were indeed remaining with the body

We’ve listed all the folks traipsing around. Now we should add the undertakers.

Yes, you are so correct. Maybe we’re getting things out of order here?

I'm thinking they likely shouldn't have already been wearing the booties with outdoor contact on them just prior to entering the home.. they likely had to put them on as soon as they were inside? But... why not other protective coverings on their clothes too? The bodies were removed..... by when?

Ok, this is from a timeline, and it also answers my above question about police escorting the bodies:

-December 15, 2017, 7:20pm, The ‘morgue wagon’ appeared at the Sherman address. Honey was placed in a black body bag with seal# 2052607, her autopsy scheduled for Sunday, December 17th, while Barry was placed in a similar bag with seal# 2052608 with his autopsy scheduled for the following day, December 16th. Both bodies were transported on gurneys out of the front door and driven away, with a police officer assigned to go with the bodies to their destination at the provincial building where the autopsies would be performed. By the time the undertakers were in the home, there were.... how many cops inside too?
