This article says Honey weighed 180 pounds and he suffered from a bad back.

It seems so hard to imagine he could do the contortions required for this.

The cars were parked on the street, not the garage.

If this article is true, they had their winter outdoor clothes on.

Why would they go down to the pool area in winter outerwear?

If they were wearing winter outerwear, how did he strangle her with a belt?

Did he use hands? Then she would have fought back,

The whole thing is strange.

Unless the coats and boots are made up details.

I have been re-reading the Liknes/O’Brien murder trial. Doug Garland held a grudge for years over a patent he felt he should have been nameed in. While reading the thread, it did think of the BS’s cousins. Thoughts by anyone knowledgeable about those murders?

My initial thought was revenge killing by someone close to the family who knew the layout of the house, but that was before I knew that the house did not have a camera surveillance system, and that the pool camera was disconnected.

Garland was a life long criminal and mentally ill. He was a 5'7" and he managed to put 6' Alvin on the bed of his truck. The Liknes couple was leaving town within days of their murders, similar to this case. A significant difference is that Garland made no attempts to sort it out with lawyers, but Barry's cousins have had this in the courts for years. If the Sherman's were murdered, then the motive could be the same as with the Liknes couple.

Yes, that is what I meant the motive part. Although (in my opinion) how stable are the cousins? Just throwing it out there.

In relation to having a home, three things were happening in the two weeks prior to their deaths: listing of current house, demolition of house on new property, meeting with architect immediately prior to deaths. If one wanted extravagance and the other wanted modesty, they were facing many long battles. What if the wife and architect were in agreement, and the husband was expected to go along with them? What if the cost had ballooned to ten million dollars? What if the architect demanded an pre-agreement that contracted work would not be litigated?

This is along the lines I was thinking. We don't know how BS or HS felt about the new move but it's possible they were in disagreement about it. Something that happened at that meeting could've been the last straw.

Looking at the one in the top corner of the room adjacent to the Sherman's pool, I would say it is a very odd placement for a light. It looks like a camera to me, or at least something rigged up to an alarm system like a motion sensor.

We have already been told in the initial news reports that a security cameras was disconnected. Curious what are we are looking to establish here on the camera in the pool room?

Jewish people often participate in the secular aspects of Christmas...decorations, gifts, etc. It would depend on how observant they are. The son wore a yarmulke FWIW. I actually worked for a Jewish woman once who collected folk art nativity scenes. She was what I call a secular Jew, rather than a religious Jew.

At the very least, they were looking at another two years of dealing with architects and contractors, and lots of litigation [because that's how Barry does everything]. They didn't need a bigger house, they were at an age where they needed to downsize. If she was thinking bigger, and he was thinking downsize, they were in for a long battle with nowhere to live. No one buys a house with a two year possession date.

In fact, most people have a three month possession date, so where was Barry supposed to live while doing business in Toronto after his house sold, and while his new house was being built?

I wondered that too but possibly they thought it might take a while to sell or they intended to put a clause in the sales contract that they wouldn’t move out until a certain date in the future. Was this the only home they had and lived in?
