Boy, 16, seriously injured after being stabbed on TTC bus

A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed on a TTC bus near Old Mill subway station, Toronto police say.

''A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed on a TTC bus near Old Mill subway station, Toronto police say.
It happened just before 4 p.m. in the area of Bloor Street West and Old Mill Trail.
Toronto paramedics say a male victim has been transported to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, police are searching for a suspect described as in their 20s with a medium build and wearing a blue mask and black jacket with the hood up.''

''Police say the suspect was last seen running on Bloor Street.

"Our thoughts are with the victim in this attack," the TTC tweeted. "As always, we'll give police our full support as they investigate, including video and witness statements."

Toronto police say the incident happened early Wednesday morning at Dundas subway station.

''Two TTC employees were chased inside Dundas subway station by a person holding a syringe, according to Toronto police.

The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The employees were able to escape with no injuries reported, police said.''
