my guess is they all met on a construction crew. JJ was either from a temp agency and GEH part of a construction team well known in the area.

Did Catie know GEH? It seems she only knew JJ and not the other two…. but I think your construction crew connection is something to think about.

Given that Catie was just newly graduated as an electrician I wondered if she had gone to check out a potential job -- maybe she was lured to (a) Lawrencetown residence to see if there was a job for her there and something happened unexpectedly (accident) and it was a coverup? it is just a guess on my part.....

I would like to believe it was an accident, but after hearing of JJ's extensive criminal background I'm thinking not... He sounds like a real bad apple.

His girlfriend, Kelly Amanda MacDonald, 33, of Lawrencetown, N.S., is charged with first-degree murder. The couple’s friend, George Edward Hubley, 30, of Sheet Harbour, N.S., is charged with accessory to murder after the fact.

A family member told CTV News that Hubley worked as a roofer with MacDonald’s brother and would sometimes stay at MacDonald’s home in Lawrencetown.

From reading her obit I would think that perhaps we know now how she paid for things lately. From looking at her almost 20K a year high school education ( if you live on campus) , then Dalhousie and St Mary's universities I would hazard a guess to say her family helped whenever possible.
Perhaps this apartment was her attempt to 'go it alone ' to stand on her own two feet without help and that is why it was in the area it was. It was all she could afford starting out in her new career.
She certainly sounds like an intelligent, wonderful young woman.

After thinking on motive for a woman to commit this murder I went to look at her pic again and it struck me that she appears to be smiling in the photo. You cant see her mouth but you can see that her cheeks are pushed up and she seems to be smiling.
This lead me to thinking about this from the angle of what if she was the one that wanted CM dead. Perhaps she found out about her and got jealous, even with him saying the relationship was over and that he didn't love her etc etc, maybe she wanted 'proof' of his love..." If you love me prove it , Kill her " . Maybe she wanted to watch and ended up helping. I have no idea I am just thinking out loud hear. But I am going with my 'feeling' from that one pic...that she is no innocent bystander in this.

I don't think I am allowed to post his obit here… His first name is Kevin, middle name Scott and his last name starts with an 'O' and is a musical instrument from the piano family that you'd find in a church if that helps!

I went back to KAM's FB page and her page is gone now, LE must've locked it down or deactivated it.

I agree, there is probably a jealous angle or a real or imagined love triangle, although JJ doesn't seem to be CM's type. CM seems much smarter than to get involved with someone like JJ, so maybe KAM thought there was something going on and it was only a platonic relationship.

Maybe so. I wonder if there is a link with one of the weapons he was unlawfully possesing and the murder of Caitlin. If so, I wonder if the charges and court date next week can be stalled and used in relation to this case.
