"'CONFIRMED: Body found by Kitchener fisherman is missing Cambridge man
Hundreds searched for Clayton Collison, 20, who went missing Saturday'
NEWS 01:16 PM Cambridge Times
Waterloo Regional Police have called off searches for Cambridges Clayton Collison after a mans body was discovered in the Grand River by a fisherman in Kitchener Tuesday (Oct. 10).
Insp. Michael Haffner told the Times a man fishing in the river along the Walter Bean trail, near the railway bridge by Victoria Street, called police after finding a body matching the description of 20-year-old Collison, who had been missing since Saturday at 2 a.m.
Police confirmed Tuesday at 4 p.m. the body has been identified as Collison and have notified next of kin. An autopsy will be scheduled for later this week to determine the cause of death. Although the investigation is expected to consider all circumstances, the death is not believed to be suspicious.
'We have no information to suggest there is any foul play,' said Haffner.

The area in which the body was located had been covered during the widespread search, noted Haffner, but the body was not easily detectable in the water.
Its unfortunate that he wasnt located earlier, he said, adding that police are offering any assistance possible to support family and friends.
