I don’t believe this young woman, Bin Ling Qiu (23 years old), missing since August 1st has been located yet: http://www.torontopolice.on.ca/newsreleases/release.php?id=24200

ETA: Bin Ling Qui was last seen at Birchmount and Finch in Scarborough which is a 4 minute drive from where the body parts were found at West Highland Creek in Scarborough (Kennedy & Boris). Is it possible that the perp would dump certain not so identifiable body parts in Scarborough and then dispose the head, hand and feet in Mississauga — further away?

Peel Police said that the Credit River body parts have been there 2+ weeks, so they probably aren’t Caroline IMO.

Regarding various wives and daughters - aren't there certain ethnic groups who "punish" females harshly for going against 'the family's wishes'? That said, I doubt this crime would be one like that because of the distance between the body parts locations. I believe one like that took place within the last (perhaps) two years and the body parts were found in/near Lake Ontario.

"Police would not say how many families they have contacted. Not all of the families are from the Peel region.” For example, Scarborough is in Toronto, not in Peel Region. (Peel is Mississauga, Brampton and part of Caledon.)

ETA: Methinks LE has a pretty good idea as to the identity of the victim.

For what it's worth, there have been a lot of sexual assaults around Toronto in the last two weeks, including one as recently as yesterday. I realize it's a large city and, unfortunatley, sexual assualts do happen somewhat frequetly...but it almost seems like there's a slight influx after August 1st.

FWIW, if the body parts in Mississauga are connected to the Toronto case, then it would seem the perp has transportation.

" I think we're pretty close to finding out who the victim is," he said.

"We've pretty much isolated and narrowed down who it can possibly be, so I don't think there's any immediate scare to any family members who all of a sudden haven't seen their mother or daughter — we know it's a female — so mother, daughter or sister in a short period of time."

Police have been in touch with relatives of people who they "reasonably believe the victim could be, Brandwood said.

"We're trying to soften the blow when eventually we do unfortunately have to tell the victim's family that all this is in relation to their daughter or mother or sister," he said".
