Do we know what time of day or night the mother found her daughter? Apologies if I’ve missed reading that info.

Because accidents with similar circumstances have happened in workplaces around the world before, I tend to think it's what's most likely, too. However would someone be running the oven at this day and time?

I am wondering if someone could, for example, preheat the oven, then open it to slide in trays, and the door accidentally shuts with them inside, and they could be trapped inside while it's on? (If it malfunctions, or they panic, or just don't know how to open it?)
And IF so, is the investigation trying to determine if something like that happened or if another person was involved? Just thinking here, All JMO.

Could be some kind of freak accident I guess? Like she tripped and hit her head once she got in there? But then that would necessitate her having a reason to go in there. Did she have one?

" 'This door does not close by itself...
It doesn't latch.
It's designed not to do that.
You have to push it, hear the click'.

Another bakery worker previously said that
the interior safety release is metal,
meaning it would get extremely hot when the oven was turned on."

Comments are interesting

??? link broken?? or removed??
I get the message, "The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed."

But, in the address bar it states that the grocery department was what was being renovated. So, that *could* include the bakery.

Hmm. This is very very suspicious and horrific. I don't think this was an accident or suicide.

I have to agree with you. The fact that LEO continues to investigate the "complex" investigation, is a heads up.

I wonder about the store, could you shop there? Honestly, I am not sure that I could. Let alone work there.

I think they have it all on camera. We shall wait and see how this pans out.

Terrible. She looks so young in the photo above. I can’t get the word ‘leakage’ out of my head with regards to the oven …

I will never understand how this could be an accident. Something isn't at all right about this case.

I guess anything is possible, but it does seem extremely bizarre for an accident. Even if the escape bar was too hot to touch, you could push it with a closed part of your body to save your life, I think.

I hope the poor girl was unconscious when it happened.

A
Walmart worker gives a chilling new take on how the 19-year-old employee 'baked to death' in the store's walk-in oven.

Last weekend, Gursimran Kaur's charred remains were found inside the walk-in oven of the Walmart she worked at in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

'I don't even know if I would fit in here,' she said. 'I'm 5 foot 1, medium built. I would have to crouch down to get in.'
Rbm.

Posting this link again to give insight as to how these ovens are built.

Both ovens featured in the article appear to show glass, see-through doors.
Hard to believe a person could be trapped with no one seeing them ?
Omo.

"Charred". It makes me wonder how hot that oven was, and how long she was in there. I cook a lot, and it takes high heat to "char" something. Not just regular 350. I would think that those ovens are specific for baking bread, that usually comes to the store frozen. And there are timers on the ovens, that go off at a specific time. You really can't mess up too much with those ovens.

These are made specifically for one task, and are practically fool proof. So, how did this incident occur? I think that there is a lot more here.
