Found Deceased Canada - Holly Ellsworth-Clark, 27, Hamilton ON, 11 Jan 2020

On the Holly Clark Search page dated June 11th is another heartbreaking appeal from Holly’s dad asking her to let him know she’s okay or if she needs help, to please call him no matter what.

But something more, a really clever suggestion IMO. Her dad says as she has her bank card with her, enough money has been deposited so she can purchase a plane ticket home from anywhere in Canada. And more so, if she’s forgotten her PIN it’s now been changed to XXXX.

I hope this opportunity to access Holly’s account with her bank card will provide a solution if not very good insight into her disappearance, one way or another.

Yikes!
I imagine obtaining the home phone records will be difficult considering the number of people who lived there. Are Holly's roommates unwilling to obtain these records for her family?

Well, if nothing else, the walk gave Dave the opportunity to fully vent about the landlord's reluctance to hand over the records in a timely manner, which in turn created a tidal wave of response on the internet. And what do you know, the family now have those records. Let's just hope the right piece of the puzzle is included therein.

Hey all, this was in the works but Katie Job beat me to it, so many thanks to her on Facebook.

This is a handy tool for following the information as it rolled out. It is important to read the questions and answers as the five feeds rolled, as there was always tidbits along the way, but DO NOT let it distract you from the facts presented by the speakers.

Please familiarize yourself with the situation. Dave (Holly's father) and Elle have spent enormous amounts of time doing podcasts, YouTube videos and live events that will answer nearly all of your questions (see links below)

July 11 was the 6 month mark of Holly missing. Her best friend Elle posted this message on the search page.

Today marks 6 months. 6 months of heartache, grief and hope. Below is the update that has been given to those who have kindly donated to the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 for the Ellsworth-Clark Family:
Hey Holly,
I know these updates are meant for the kind and generous people who have donated to our search for you. But today, I want to talk to you. And boy do I have some words for you. So sit down and let these sink in. Ready? It’s just four words:
Dave
Greta
Caleb
Kate
They are so tired. Exhausted. Stuck in a realm that they don't deserve to be in. I know you would never intentionally hurt them. I know you would never walk away from your family. And I know you love them so much. You know they support you 100% in whatever you want to do.
It's been 6 months. Half a year. If you are still with us, I need you to reach out. I need you to call someone, anyone and tell us you're OK. Nothing you've thought, said or did could possibly be so bad that we can't help you. If you don't want help, that's OK too. We just really need you to tell us that.
If someone is helping you, I'd really like to thank them for the hard work they've put in to look after you. I can meet them anywhere, anytime. You just name the place. I can bring Dave with me or I can meet them alone. I'd like to give you all the options in the world. Just let me know what you need.
Dave
Greta
Caleb
Kate
Those are the words I need you to hear. Those are the words I need you to feel. Those are the people who need you to reach out.

It seems like the family truly believes Holly is still out there somewhere (I think so too and hope that we’re both right!) No matter the situation, I hope Holly hears/sees her family’s plea and reaches out to them as soon as she has the chance.

I think she is still out there as well. Given the publicity in the Hamilton-Toronto corridor she is likely on her own and not using any sort of public facilities to survive, such as a shelter, local clinics, or food banks. Somebody would have seen her. She must be finding food somehow. There are plenty of places she could be hiding.

Holly could very well be out of Hamilton, and here are two possible destinations; Toronto and Nova Scotia.
Toronto was mentioned in a Holly post by the girlfriend of one of the roommates. This girlfriend had had personal conversations with Holly, and in one of her posts on Facebook had said "she may have ended up in Toronto" which I posit was not so much of a guess as maybe a vibe she had gotten from a conversation.
Nova Scotia I believe to be a reasonable destination as it was a topic brought up in a couple posts from her good friend, bandmate, and former roommate. He had been seriously considering moving to Nova Scotia and posting about how to sustain oneself there. Reading through his Facebook you can see that he and Holly were very much on the same wavelength about many things. Being the last place she stayed prior to the move to the apartment from which she disappeared, it is an educated guess that those were conversations had between them.
While Toronto has broadcast some attention regarding Holly in the media, and some postering has been done, I am sure it could use more, and even more so in Nova Scotia; so if you have ties there, spread the word!!!

I choose to leave the names out for the respect of their privacy. It is all readily available to those paying close attention to the situation.

Loved ones mark six months since Holly Ellsworth-Clark disappeared | Calgary Herald

The family has recently returned to Calgary after spending weeks in Hamilton. Clark said they looked into many leads but all amounted to nothing — including one of the most hopeful where over a dozen people reported sighting of Ellsworth-Clark in St. Catharine’s, Ont.

It turned out to be someone else with a resemblance.

Ellsworth-Clark moved to Hamilton from Calgary only a few months prior to her disappearance to pursue a career in music. She had been in regular communication with family and friends from home, said police, but the day before she went missing she left a voicemail for her parents saying she was running through the woods all night from two men.

From link, thanks. rbbm.
“But everything that we know right now suggests that she walked away from her life and that she was not in a fully sound condition . . . given that, the most reasonable assumption is she is still alive and somewhere trying to hide, trying to not be found.”

He said the focus right now is to continue to raise awareness about Ellsworth-Clark’s case, in part by releasing some of her music.''

“We’re kind of at the mercy of everyone keeping their eyes open,” she said on Sunday. “We’re still hoping that we get that one phone call, that one photo that happens to be our girl.”

She’s asking anyone with recent photos to go through them and see if anyone fitting Ellsworth-Clark’s description sticks out, especially those who have travelled to tracks or trails across the country.''

Here is a very comprehensive, thoughtful, detailed write up about Holly's life and disappearance featuring interviews from loved ones. Elle said there is information in this that has not been released before. I haven't finished reading yet, but once I do I will report back anything that is new to me.

On August 2nd, Elle posted the following on the Holly Clark search page:
Update: we still have teams vetting the information and have no new public info to provide at this time.
We've had a potential sighting. I need four volunteers to meet up at 8pm tonite and venture into a homeless encampment.

From the link I provided:

When Police arrived to talk to Holly’s roommates, someone told police Holly was carrying a baseball bat when she left. Dave says that due to this, police told him they could not issue a press release because they were not sure if Holly was a danger to the public. However, it was later learned through house surveillance that Holly did not leave carrying a bat.

Holly’s brother Caleb went to Hamilton with Randy to look for Holly. Caleb called 911 and reported her missing that evening.

“They were very frustrated and angry, they didn’t get any significant help from the police that night.” Dave says at one point Randy and Caleb ran to the police for help while they were searching and asked if they could borrow flashlights, but they were laughed at.

“They provided no support at this point in the search” says Dave, adding they received no follow-up for days after Holly was reported missing.

“The head detective told us at that time that they had already concluded that there was no foul play involved, then they asked if she had ever done any prostitution, they asked if they had ever done meth. We were telling them the story of her running from two men, they didn’t take that very seriously but they were immediately entertaining the possibility that she probably had a lot of cash from her prostitution. And there was no evidence that she had ever had anything to do with that. None. The meeting was outrageous. It was really outrageous, it was bad. They came to the conclusion, five days in that there was no foul play and that has shifted the nature of their inquiry ever since.” “And as far as I was concerned, at that point there was just as much likelihood that she had been kidnapped than anything else.”

Wow. The family definitely had a rough few weeks when first investigating, but it seems they have a better relationship with police now.

“We’ve talked a lot about the bad things that have happened in Hamilton, but there’s a lot of good.” Says Elle. “The people of Hamilton have offered their homes to us, there’s a group that goes out every night looking for Holly, there’s another group that have started to make masks that say ‘Have you seen Holly?’ Like the people of Hamilton have really taken her in as their own, and that is something none of us really expected… I think that really needs to be mentioned.”

There is also a lot of information regarding the possible Budget Inn sighting, and all the drama that happened with that. I think that's the "new" information for us. Holly's family made a difference in the community getting that hotel shut down, but they still aren't sure whether the reported sighting was Holly or not.

The updated and expanded conversation with Mohammed included some more information about her mental state at that time. It also included a bit more information regarding time between midnight and 6 am on the Friday night/ Saturday morning. There was a sprinkling of more music listening and web activity added as well.

Thursday night 6 pm until Friday morning at 8 am remains a complete mystery. There HAS to be a friend or an acquaintance that can help to fill these hours. Someone who saw her at a house party, someone who saw her at a bar she had not frequented before, etc. I feel that this span of time is key.

Been following this for a while now and think of her a lot. Really hope she is found safe, can't imagine what her family and friends are going through. :(

The search for Holly is definitely the most dedicated missing person search I’ve ever noticed. By her family and friends but also strangers too, really impressive, the high energy invested into trying to locate her. I very much hope she will be found safe, and soon too.

Bumping with this news link which is unrelated if Holly did not join a homeless encampment, but possibly related if she did, imo, speculation, fwiw..

That’d be wonderful if Holly was alive and well and living there! But if she was, I just can’t see her family leaving it to a reporter to identify her. And if Holly doesn’t want to be found, highly unlikely she’d present herself openly to a reporter.

On the other hand it’s not really surprising ‘thugs’ living in a homeless camp might have a problem with a reporter picture-taking and writing a feature story on them, especially without an agreement in advance. The vast majority likely don’t want their story told and often have reasons to not want their faces in the media. IMO this must’ve been quite a naive reporter.
