Found Deceased Canada - Holly Ellsworth-Clark, 27, Hamilton ON, 11 Jan 2020

Two things come to mind - heroin and abuse. I am wondering if she had a boyfriend or any unwanted attention from the clubs she frequented. She could have gotten mixed up with a dirty promoter, falled into drug use through a boyfriend, or been drugged and escaped an attempted rape the night she fled and called her parents. It pains me to hear them call the things she as saying as preposterous - sure they may have sounded that way, but that doesn't mean she wasn't serious and in need of help ASAP. This is rminding me of Adriene Quintal - why didn't Holly call the police? Trafficking is unlikely as she was in contact with people and using social media normally - that doesn't mean someone didn't try to coerce her or didn't attempt to pimp her out (for example, people are at this hotel that night partying, she is intoxicated and someone(s) try to take advantage of that. She may have witnessed something and is now in fear for her life. Unfortunately I think she would have made it back to Calgary by now. I hope LE are looking into her associates and interviewing the clubs she performed in. It would be good to get some kind of timeline - it doesn;t even sound like anyone knows quite where she was living.

Do you mean where she was living most recently? Based on the media coverage, she's been living at 176 Sanford Ave N with roommates. Her dad is standing outside of the house in this clip - Family and friends continue to search for Holly Elsworth Clarke - CHCH. Note: the house has been renovated since the last Google street view (brick painted, new door added, new windows).

I found an old rental listing for the property - $575, 176 Sanford Ave N, Hamilton, ON L8L 5Z7 - For Rent They appeal to "creative types".

There are reports of her being at a super shady motel in Hamilton right before she went missing, called the Budget Inn. If you google the place it is a known sex trafficking and drug spot.

Why would she have been at the motel, if she already was living with roommates? This raises a huge red flag for me. Whatever reason she was at the motel, whoever she was with, is likely some very important information.

Motel is mentioned here:

I also saw somewhere else that police were hesitant in searching the hotel, because they didn’t have ‘probable cause’. I believe I saw this on the familys Facebook page. Some were angered because they felt this hesitation could have impeded the search. If I find where I saw this, I will post it.

It gets harder with “creative types” missing- I had a roommate years ago that used to hop trains and run wherever her heart would take her.. she had tumultuous relationships and almost never used her phone so we always kind of worried about her. One day her sister showed up very worried she was getting to response after her coffee shop job called wondering why she wasnt showing up for work so we all went into “missing person” mode and we were about to call police when she showed up. She was SO embarrassed and also upset that we infringed upon her independence.. she was dealing with something emotionally and didn’t want to deal with anyone. I’m hopeful this is the case here... but I do really wish they could have gotten some sort of warrant to search for her in said seedy motel... sometimes people unravel and make decisions they never would have made in the past. I’m worried about her but I have hope that she’s at rock bottom and will come out of it soon
Fingers crossed :(

Holly, a 27-year-old musician who has lived in Hamilton since October, was last seen on Jan. 11 at 4 p.m. in the Sanford Ave. and Cannon St. area, according to police. Police say she was in distress at the time.

There have been reported sightings of Holly at the Budget Inn at King St. E. and Sanford but local reports suggest police have not been able to obtain warrants to do a thorough search of the property.''

I was in downtown Hamilton last night and there are so many disadvantaged people roaming the streets. I drove around after leaving friends just to be another pair of eyes. I was hoping I might see Holly but I did not. But I did witness a great deal of sad circumstances. Mental illness, drugs, alcohol, homelessness. Hamilton just seems to be a magnet for it all.

Holly, where are you hon? Try and call someone if you can. Everybody wants you to come home safely.

'Someone, somewhere knows something': Search continues for former Calgary woman missing in Hamilton
More than 300 people — including friends of Ellsworth-Clark and strangers from across the city — took part in the two grid searches held Wednesday. The crews searched a stretch of about four kilometres, logging anything notable such as cameras in sight, open shed doors in people’s yards, and conversations with neighbours.

“This was massive. This was a huge undertaking,” said [EF], a friend of Ellsworth-Clark from Calgary who helped organize the searches.

She said another one could be in the works this weekend if Ellsworth-Clark is not found by then.

'Someone, somewhere knows something': Search continues for former Calgary woman missing in Hamilton
After flying out from Calgary, Ellsworth-Clark’s father, [DC], has been in Hamilton since she went missing. He said the family remains optimistic she’s alive and hasn’t gone far.

“There’s some tip that comes in every day that give you a little adrenaline rush,” he said.

...

[DC] said there’s no evidence that Holly has left Hamilton.

“She didn’t go on vacation. She has money in the bank and she has a credit card and they haven’t been used. She had those with her when she left,” he said.

The unused credit/debit card is almost never a good sign. I do hope they find her sooner rather than later. :(

Another bad weather weekend is upon us. Unless she has found shelter and warmth I don't see a good outcome. Hoping for the best.

My thoughts are with Holly’s parents and friends, a worst nightmare especially that she reached out to them and then suddenly disappeared in the midst of two days of unusual behaviour.

I don’t understand why she broke the window of her apartment to gain access or if she’d been chased in the woods by two men the day before she was last seen, why she didn’t contact police. Although her dad believed she was truly terrified of someone, drugs can cause erratic behaviour as well. Illegal drugs would also explain why it appears no acquaintances are willing to come forward, anyone who had first hand knowledge of what occurred during those last couple of days prior to her disappearance.

The best outcome would be that she had some sort of mental/paranoid breakdown, immediately left Hamilton and sought shelter in a safe place somewhere else but with each passing day amid daily news headlines highlighting her disappearance, sadly, hope for that is diminishing. But I still do hope....

Glad to see Holly is in the Toronto news.

There is a Busy Bee convenience store on the corner, and across from that a park.
