In following the case of Tim Bosma, I noticed something that struck me as very peculiar.... A tweet from @LocateTimBosma on May 12 references "@LauraBabcock". To my knowledge, there was no connection made between TB, DM and LB until May 17. This may be easily explained away, if LB were mentioned in tweets from an associate of DM who has since been noted as "cleared" by LE, but I haven't seen any mention of this in the 8000+ posts that I've read on the TB forum. Sorry, I'm unable to post a link from my tablet to the tweet, but I'll call in my resident IT expert (ie. Teenager in the house) to show me how, if required.

My husband and I have rogers, which I noticed that LB had too. When I have called in the past they refuse to talk to me about our account because the account is in my husbands name. SO IMO he either got the records from rogers if they had a joint account with them OR he got them by opening her mail, logging into her account or someother somewhat questionable(IMO) method.

Here is the answer to the phone bills from MSM:

Did anyone else notice the post on the help find Laura page in which a guy is saying that he talked to her March 2012 about an ex?? He says that she didn't give him a name but now looking back some of the things she told him has been bothering him.

Yes. Someone suggested they check with any old boyfriends whose relationship had ended badly or anyone that may have been giving her a hard time. Hopefully that person has now talked to LE.

Does anyone know why Rogers would need a subpoena to track when or where the iPad was last used, if the iPad belonged to SL and he was requesting the information on his own product? Is it because the SIM card is hers? (If it is. The post only say "a" SIM card.) Sorry, I don't know too much about iPads.

Not to be disrespectful to the Babcock's but her Mom seems to be in denial. She says she thinks she's just not ready to come home. Could this be why SL is taking the reigns here? Either way I'm glad she has a voice and someone stepping up wanting to find her soooo bad.

So the police never followed up on the fact that her last phone call was to DM? Did they ever question him? If so, they should release this info to the public...But they won't. We see lots of this...

I wish we just knew if her parents ever contacted LE.

All we know is that the ex-bf was turned down for not being family. We never hear what happened after that. Except her Dad offering to pay for printing flyers.

(Note, I've brought this up several times, and I want to make it clear I am NOT blaming the parents. I can think of a number of reasons not every parent will be the type to shout from the rooftops and phone Nancy Grace about their missing adult child, from estrangement to denial and beyond. Some people are just quiet/private and determined to stay that way. But I am interested to know how she never became the type of missing person who, for example, ends up on websleuths (until now).)

The SIM card was hers so Rogers could not trace the iPad usage without a subpoena which Toronto Police couldn't be bothered to get.

It sounds like she was legally an adult and left of her own accord. So...Nothing happened. Disgusting considering that she no longer accessed her bank cards, etc...A clear sign that something was amiss.

The ex boyfriend seems to be the only one that continued to ask questions - unfortunately to no avail.

This is a question that I would like clarification on. I would be surprised if the family did not contact LE since they were obviously concerned for her (as noted father offered to pay for costs to distribute flyers - it was the parents who scrutinized her phone bills).

The frustrating thing about the media coverage of this and any criminal case in Canada for that matter is how completely inept the reporting is. The reporters fail to ask obvious questions.

When LB's mother was interviewed (off camera) I would have asked her did the family report LB missing to Police and what was the reaction from LE?

I would have asked the mother was she aware that Toronto Police were not following up on valuable leads provided to them (e.g. phone records and the existence of the iPad).

I would have asked the Parents were they aware that Toronto Police basically threw LB's missing person file in the garbage - that the TPS website was devoid of any information on LB and I would ask them how they feel about this.

Not easy questions to be asking but questions that need to be asked and answered.

I suspect that they did not follow-up on the phone records and interview DM. Had they done that DM would have been on their radar screen which would have raised a red-flag a few months later when WM was found dead with a gunshot through an eyeball.

I have been trying to keep up here and with the other Tim forum, I have read the Help us Find Laura page... and I found the Aunt too. It sure seems like she is just finding out too, doesn't it? Really strange.

Didn't DM do some travelling in July/Aug 2012, why would she say 'Croatia'.

Also something else I noticed in the video of her mom, Laura dropped her dog off a few days before she disappeared. Not sure what this means, but maybe she had plans to leave?

I know it's been mentioned, but I do find it strange that we don't have more info about/from the parents, and the friends being so concerned about the world knowing her 'tendencies' is over the top too. I would say/do whatever it took if it meant that my friend could be found. JMO
