He might've come forward when they were searching for him, and been discounted as involved in any way, and RCMP didn't identify him to prevent people harassing him? Though, they could've at least said that it was cleared up...
Regardless, I think it has been.

These two have been identified as the prime suspects, and at the time that guy’s name came up, they had nothing else to go on.

They’re clearly looking one way now.

Haaaaa. I think there’s likely several more hours left in this manhunt.

Law enforcement might set up a perimeter, and wait for daylight.

If these guys don’t try to breach it, I can see this all being over during the daylight hours of tomorrow.

Yes, LE has every reason to prolong the stress on these two and reduce risk to LE and the local population by taking them down during daylight hours

How desperate must things be to be scavenging in a dump on the edge of a community. That , whatever your appetite or condition your taste buds are in , is a pretty accurate estimation of the degree of desperation.

Obviously, they are not badly off for water, mostly safe water, I presume, but the normal desire for food, the pain in their bodies for food has made them take a risk of tremendous proportions, out of all proportion, really. Since the food they might find in a dump would be mostly inedible, still, the risk had to be taken, a measure of how muddled their thinking is now.

Their bodies would be eating it's own muscle by now.

The old instruction. You can go 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food, but if the nights are cold, that brings it down to 5 or 6 days without food and then one's body starts to consume itself to generate night core heat.

Let's not understate the charge of second degree murder!

They needed a new getaway vehicle, and murdered the next suitable vehicle's driver.
Like half this forum believes they are innocent lol.

I just hope they can get aircraft in the air with heat seeking technology.

They know the general area where these two are, and it has a pretty solid chance at success.

Ideally, they’ll be able to sneak up on them when they’re sleeping.

If they sleep.

It's resources are stretched beyond thin....long wait times for accessing counselling and then not enough counselling.
MOO from what I see my patients experience
The Prov Govt plans to cut costs in health care (as well as Education), which is going to effect front line workers which will have a huge burden Pt care.

Who is the "they" that flees? The local citizens?
The "Bear Clan Patrol" -- as seen on the man's sweater that she was interviewing.

I know from doing a four day fast in extremely hot conditions, (no food or water) when I came out I was thirsty and didn’t really care for food right away. I ate very lightly for a few days but I was constantly drinking water. But, I agree these guys must be desperate in more ways than one. I bet they want their mamas about now...or maybe not.

Long time lurker first time joiner as above great to see a site not fighting each other!

My first point, that video which was released across socials showing the chopper above the house looks to me like one person was taken away.

Is it realistic to say that one is in custody whilst the other is still on the run? The police have claimed they are both on the run. Who do you believe here? That footage was rather unique.

No. The last official update RCMP says no captures. Twitter follies are not the same as official announcements. The RCMP definitely knows if it has arrested suspects.

It's actually a sewage lagoon, or sewage lagoons, which are open to the elements, not a structure that the wording "water treatment plant" would imply...

Like this?

Is the Bear Clan armed?

BBM...

It looked as though BS was wearing some sort of boot. Given that it has been stated he had made purchases from an Army Surplus store, they could have been some sort of combat boot to go with his dapper outfit. KM on the other hand, has more of a lax approach to the uniform - am guessing he would be in chucks, vans or similar.

They both looked to be wearing the same footwear. Big and black. Looked durable to me. You can see their boots in the Coop video.

RCMP are NOT the ones who invited the bear clan, as it says in the article. Just correcting facts.
Yes, here is the invite info per the article:

"Favel (Bear Claw Clan Founder) said his group was responding to a request issued Friday by Sheldon Kent, acting grand chief of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs".

"The [acting] grand chief called yesterday to ask if we could send some teams to provide security for some of the First Nations that don't have RCMP service," Favel said.

I've also heard "what you put in is what you get out."

Take it as you want.
I agree. Free of charge does not always equate with poor service. But like I mentioned previously, this is not a subject for this thread.

Thanks for this reminder Andreee; you are most definitely right :) no more talk regarding the availability/quality of mental heath services as this most definitely is not an appropriate forum/setting. I do extend an apology as I was only initially trying to express my opinion about this case in relation to my experience with mental/emotional health.
