11:19 TorontoStar: Dan Robson reports:
Spectators appear to be in awe of the video of Williams' confession.
It may seem like watching some sort of drama on television, but the intensity is that more gripping because this is dreadfully real.
Williams comes across as confident at the start. Relaxed, as though this is a minor inconvenience.
But Det. Sgt. Jim Smyth simply owns him. The evidence is there and Williams looks baffled. Stunned.
As though his depraved secret had been impenetrable.
Williams seems terrified, as it all slips away. The boots match. The tires match. He's done.
"I can't believe this happening right now," the disgraced Colonel says at one point.
Matt Bolton, who watched with the rest of the audience, described the feeling best:
"Watching his world fall in. It's kind of great."

11:19 smithjoanna: "How long has she been there?" Det asks. "About a week," RW says, saying she was killed Friday night. Alive for about 24 hours. [via Twitter]

CBC:
Amber Hildebrandt reports: "Eventually police produce a map and Williams points to an area on the map. They ask if Lloyd is buried there and if she's near a certain location. Williams mumbles 'Mmhmm.' Smyth asks how long she's been there. Williams says about a week. Smyth asks how long she was alive. Williams goes on to say his interest now is making sure his wife's life is easier."

CBC:
Amber Hildebrandt reports: "Now Williams starts offering more information. He says there is a camera bag and a desk in his office at his Ottawa home where they will find memory cards. He refers to images on there of Jessica Lloyd and Comeau. The officer asks about the sexual assaults and Williams says there are images of those attacks as well."

Court moans as Williams says he wants his wife to be taken care of.

She was alive for almost 24 hours, not quite, Williams says.

He brought her there Friday night.

"You can see her," Williams says.

Is she buried?"

He points to an area.

Williams looks at a map.

She's been there a little over a week.

The colonel agrees to draw Det. Sgt. Smyth a picture of where the hard drives are hidden at his home in Ottawa.

He has admitted all four crimes.

"Whose images are on those cards?" Det. Sgt. Smyth asks.

"I expect you'll be able to find images of Jessica and I."

"My interest is in making my wife's life a little easier," he says, and adds that he'll tell them where the memory cards are of the photos.

How long was she alive for, he is asked. Almost 24 hours is the reply.

"You'll need a real map," Col. Williams says, and proceeds to point to the approximate location of Jessica.
