A search of southwest Edmonton was underway Sunday afternoon after Edmonton-area realtor Maya Day was reported missing by co-workers.
Day was scheduled to host an open house Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Magrath neighbourhood, but co-workers say she failed to show up.
A member of the Windermere Remax Elite team told Global News that Day’s vehicle was “last pinged at a Save-On-Foods nearby at around 1 p.m.”
About 50 of Day’s fellow realtors assembled at the Windermere office, where she was an agent, Sunday morning to form a search party.
They planned to conduct a grid search of the area, focusing on Riverbend.
A police spokesperson told Global News that the search started Saturday night. Police added that there is currently no indication of foul play, but officers are concerned for Day’s safety.
Day was last seen driving a BMW X5 with the licence plate LIFSGUD.

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 47-year-old woman.
Maya Day is described as a 47-year-old female who stands approximately 5’0” and weighs 119 lbs. She has brown eyes and brown hair, and was wearing a red blouse and a grey or black skirt at the time of her disappearance.
Day is from Sherwood Park, and was last seen on Saturday, Mar. 2, 2019 at approximately 2:50 p.m. in the area of 23 Avenue and Rabbit Hill Road. She is driving a 2014 Silver BMW X5 with Alberta license plate LIFSGUD.
As it is out of character for Day to be out of contact with family and friends for this length of time, and due to the extreme cold weather, there are concerns for her welfare. There are no indications of foul play at this time.
