Let us know how it goes Dyanna. I hope they upgrade that charge. No way this was a heat of the moment murder. It appears he went back to the apt to kill her after she had said goodbye. That's not 2nd degree IMO.

Some on WS know my son struggles with addictions. He is 22. Sadly he is incarcerated right now. Not a major offence but he did do some really stupid stuff. Anyhow I have a feeling my son and Ager will be in the same range at jail. My son isn't sentenced yet so def st the same jail. Just depends on the classification.
What is really pathetic is when I go Monday the security guards and jail officials will all think I'm there for my son. Haha.
Thanks for not judging my boy. I pray he gets the help he needs. He has applied st Teen Challenge farm which I so hope he goes. But who knows could be just to try to pull on judges heart strings. He should be getting out with time served.

Butttt I will be asking him if there is a new inmate!!!
And I will check in Monday!

When you mention Teen Challenge, is there one in the K-W area or is it the one in the London area. I've thought of donating some shares to Teen Challenge as they have a good reputation for working with young people who have lost their way.

It's obvious that he has one thing going for him and that is a supportive parent who loves him very much. i actually went to a mens recovery house in waterloo in 2000, it was an 8mo program (yes, i was a mess lol). When i graduated from it, i stayed in K/W, and have been free from the drugs and alcohol ever since, 18yrs in Apr. So these long term programs work! and don't be suprised if your son chooses not to move back to K/W afterwards, because of haunts and old friends and such, it will be a good thing.

edit; i agree with Kamille, Agers' charges should be upped to M1 definately, re: leaving then going back in out of anger.

I agree. I want him to leave Kw. So hard to stay clean when his whole circle is in the same mind frame of addictions.

Today was to be my day off but Mother Nature slammed us with snow. I've come into work as we have a lot of no shows and I'm able to walk to work. [emoji849]
I'm not able to go to the courthouse. Although when I walked by (on my way to work) there is news and reporter cars parked and I'm sure it's because of Ager. Hopefully we will have some good news.

At the Ontario courthouse in #Kitchener, where Ager Hasan, extradited to Canada on Friday, will have a bail hearing on charge of 2nd degree murder in death of Melinda Vasilije.

Ager Hasan matter being addressed in #Kitchener courthouse now. Family and friends of Melinda Vasilije are here in courtroom. Her mother is visibly shaken.

Ager Hasan sits in the prisoner's box. He is handcuffed. White t-shirt on. Looks same as he did in social media photos circulated during search for him. Confers with his lawyer over some sort of document.

Proceedings delayed due to a computer error in the courtroom. Court has recessed while staff address the issue.

Ager Hasan bail hearing back in session now. Technical difficulties resolved.

Hasan looks straight ahead as proceedings unfold. Looking toward his lawyer and the Crown. Eyes move nowhere near Melinda Vasilije's family.

Ager Hasan remanded in custody. Back on court via video link in a little over a week.

Ager Hasan, wearing brown pants and a white shirt, spoke briefly with his lawyer and sat quietly as he waited out court delays caused by computer issues Monday morning.

Hasan has been charged in the death of 22-year-old Melinda Vasilije — whose friends and family were at court for the proceedings.

Totally irrelevant but I hope he had to wear Salvation Army issued clothing and didn’t have his own. My son has had to and he looked ridiculous. Again I know so silly but a small victory lol.
My son hasn’t seen him. They know he is there and watched the news. My son is in seg but a more open seg area and has a cell mate. They believe he is in protective. I’m not sure why though.... jmo. Most prisoners don’t care much for killers not like child molesters or child killers or rapists.
One time when my son was away he had a porter call me as they were all in lock up so only porters could use phones. He was an elderly man who was so nice to me. Yup he murdered his wife. No one seems to bat an eyelash. Maybe because of the media??

Holy crow I was at the courthouse all day for my sons sentencing. Gahhh I wish I knew he was there. Thanks for the update.

That also means my son was on the same bus as him. I just checked yesterday’s court docket as I had it saved for my son. I literally left right after my son. I believe he was seen right after as said 2:30pm.
My son is calling me soon so I will have to ask!

I’m an idiot. Even in the article said video court. So I guess they kept him in Milton because no reason for bail if no lawyer.
My son just called and they don’t know him just have heard about him from news. So he isn’t in his area.
