Hoping the farmer can give a description of this male.

"The sighting of a lone male walking through the bush on Aug. 30 seemed odd to the farmer who was combining an adjacent field.

The area was just off Boundary Road, a few kilometres outside of Selkirk. He said he’s seen a few hunters and people on quads occasionally but this person stood out.

"Why would someone be back there?” the farmer, who wishes not to be identified, said.

He said the man wasn’t carrying anything and didn’t acknowledge his presence."

Just a quick update: we're in a state of emergency (and of course today's Thanksgiving too) so I doubt much will happen re. this search for at least a week.

"Hundreds of people are seeking shelter in Winnipeg after being evacuated from First Nations communities as Manitoba reels from a snowstorm that has left tens of thousands without power at a time, and forced the province and city to declare states of emergency."

Winter storm and state of emergency in Manitoba will only make search efforts harder.

Winnipeg police not ‘confident’ they will find missing Métis woman alive - APTN News
''Harvey described an alarming call Belle made around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 18.

“She called somebody she knew to be picked up from an address on Dudley Street,” said Harvey.

“It was identified in the call the she was in distress and she was asking for help. She needed to leave the place she was at.”

Carver was tight-lipped about details around Belle’s disappearance including what the call was about saying the investigation is still on-going.

“Investigators have a sense to what’s happened here but we’re in the stages of an investigation where we aren’t able to move forward with a conclusion,” he said.

Carver added police have spoken with a few suspects but until Belle is found they cannot release much information.

Investigator’s have identified a grey coloured 2012 Dodge Caravan that may be associated with Belle’s disappearance.

They believe Belle was transported outside the city.

“That is one of the avenues we’re pursuing and something we suspect,” said Carver.''

''Investigators have identified a vehicle associated with a suspect in Belle's disappearance. It's a grey 2012 Dodge Caravan and anyone who recalls seeing it on Aug. 17 is asked to call police.

Carver said police do not think the disappearance of Belle, who is Métis, is linked to any other cases involving missing or murdered Indigenous women.''
