I don’t know much about Canadian law, I lived in Montreal a couple years but never thought about the laws there, outside of immigration law.(Snipped)
If formal abduction charges haven’t yet been filed against the grandmother and aunt, it’s getting ridiculous. What sort of precedent is this setting for others in the future who disagree with any court order for any reason..... run and hide?
If there’s no warrant or charge for abducting these girls, is there something like a BOLO?
Every officer needs to know to be on the lookout in case they sight one or both of these women.
Then what? Does every officer know the questions to be asked to determine if it’s all ok?
What if they refuse to answer?
Can they then be detained on probable cause with no charges and no warrant?
I just don’t get it, what answer could possibly make it ok to abduct two minors from the court ordered custodial parent?
Is it that they could prove, to an officer on the side of the road, that they are saving the children from sexual abuse when they couldn’t prove it before a judge in a court of law?
