This updated news story says the missing woman's name is Sherry Michelle Ahenakew. Not sure if that's correct.

As a result of continued investigation, Michelle disappearance is now considered to be suspicious in nature. As such, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken carriage of the investigation.
Michelle’s family has been updated and Victim Services made available to them. Residents of Big River First Nation may notice an increased police presence in relation to the ongoing investigation.

Age 40, female, long brown hair, brown eyes, 150lbs, 5' 5" tall, scar above her left eye.

''The search for a Cree woman from Ahtahkakoop First Nation has ended tragically.
Big River RCMP say human remains were found in a “remote rural area” west of Victoire, Sask., on July 18.
On Tuesday, the RCMP confirmed in a news release the remains were those of Sherry Michelle Ahenakew, 40.''
