when did she bring up the alliance reference "missing being a wench" or something to this effect? what is the whole true statement?

I was starting to head down that road that maybe SB is involved in some LARP/Cosplay role. Either she is deep into character or the game turned diabolical and became very real.

It falls in line with her past involvements and may explain why she has now disappeared. Someone took it too far.

But to leave and play after midnight, assuming that is when she was last seen...

I agree, those pics would have had to have been protected somehow, perhaps laminated? To me, I would think that LE would have questioned the 2 parties that each separately found the 2 photos, asking when the last time they had been by that exact location, and they likely answered sometime less than 2 weeks ago. Likely less than foolproof accurate, but that's what they have to go on at this point I would think. Lala where did you read that newer news stories are saying that these pics ARE involved with the case?

But I think a day or two in rain or snow would deteriorate the image to be unrecognizable, it doesn't take much to breakdown paper and make ink or photo chemicals run. I find it interesting the can make out the images considering the weather Calgary gets.

I wonder if another woman had it out for SB? Would SB's husband had been involved with anyone else new? As suspicious as I am about the husband, I'm still trying not to totally focus on him alone.

I am the same, Lalalacasbah - I am soooo suspicious of the husband but I have been guilty of tunnel vision before. Going five days without wondering where she might be is odd to me. Even if it had got to the point where they lived completely separate lives and didn't talk to each other except if absolutely necessary it would still be obvious she hadn't been around. Little things like the smell of cooking, dirty pots or a cup, noticing someone has had a shower, are all indicators that someone hasn't been around. The biggest thing to me is the cell phone, due to her line of work alone she probably always had it on her, would he not have thought it weird that she didn't come back for it in all that time. However, we also have to consider Shannon may have been the type to stay with friends for a few days. The cell phone could of been somewhere out of sight (in her room or a bag) and he didn't realise she didn't have it with her until the sister called and he went looking for possible clues.

maybe the game (assuming there was one) started at cemetery hill which is just around the corner from her home and finished at Fish Creek?

What is the slenderman game, or rather what are the pages referencing?

That's the rub - We only have the estranged husband's word for the time. Even if he is telling the truth, did he leave the house that night or did she? Did he go to bed and didn't check on her in the morning (sleeping in seperate rooms) so cannot say if she was there or not?

All we know for sure, is he states he last saw her at 12:30 a.m. It does not detail the circumstances.

I am incredibly sleep deprived right now... So please forgive my laziness...Was it confirmed to be the ex that last saw her. The last article I read claims it was a family member. If they are legally divorced is he still considered a family member?

A Fish and Wildlife officer was one of the finders of the pictures, and as noted, if you pinned a pic on a tree December 1st, it would unlikely deteriorate (this year), maybe the wind would whip it off or a bird grab it. It's been very very dry and nice this winter (winter starts here in September as long as I can remember,,, two seasons; Summer holidays and the rest of the time).

I get the impression that they are seperated. He would technically still be family if that is the case. Most MSM reported he was the last witness.

The Alliance LARP events have a medieval theme, hence the 'wench' - I am soooo sheltered.

Why would police have been in Lisa Mitchell's home? Her mother reported her missing to the RCMP and it wasn't until several months later that the case was transferred to the Calgary police. There was no reason to go to her house anymore at that time.
LE does visit the family members in their home to update them on a case.

They just want to use their cool new toy - their facial recognition software.

The articles also state that the face is obscured. Who knows.
The Slender Man knows...

What a strange, last post, before she disappeared.I wonder if this could have provoked a jealous rage,in someone close to her?

Forever miss... suicidal? Whoring... knocked up... misogynistic? Posted by someone else?

Perhaps Facebook could provide LE the IP address and possible location of where that post came from.
