I guess I just wonder, what more at this time is there to sleuth? There are dozens of valid questions posed here and there's nobody to answer them (people who know her). Her family never even bothered to create a 'missing' facebook page. She's not even listed on any missing persons registry. LE hasn't made a peep in forever. Even if she was estranged from her husband, they did live together and you'd think he'd have still had some level of care/concern for her but not a peep from him. Families/close friends/coworkers are usually very quick to get a Facebook page going, to be asking people to 'share' a missing poster both online and in person, keeping the awareness raised for/of their missing loved one, asking anyone w/ info to come forward, often a reward is offered for info leading to info about whereabouts of missing loved one, etc. Can't say I've ever encountered a missing person's case that went so silent, so abruptly...with not even a peep mentioned about it again. what a shame it would be if folks here continued to worry and sleuth, only to find out down the road that she'd been located long ago but for reasons unbeknownst to us that info was not released to the public.
With equal respect to those who feel this case is no longer sleuthable, there are lots of other cases they might consider. I don't think it should be a showstopper on Shannon's case just because some folks feel she has disappeared of her own volition.
Sleuthing is a funny thing ... you can go weeks and find nothing and then all of a sudden, TADA ... you only find something when/if you keep looking.
