I believe Shannon is deceased.

I'm curious to know who of you think she'll be found alive..? (gut feeling or rational thinking...)

I have a hard time reconciling that last "forever miss" FB post and the timing of her disappearance.

People can, and do pick up and go without any sentimentality for Christmas, New Years and Birthdays.

Both live and deceased are equally possible. If it was her who wrote it, then my gut says she knew she was leaving.

I do not believe she is alive. That's my gut feeling. It was originally stated by EM she was trying to leave a bad marriage. JB was the last to see her when she supposedly left the home at 12:30 am. She took her keys but left her cell phone and vehicle. Also if you plan to go off grid you plan for that and there are no signs of that. The people in those groups that she hung around with don't know where she is either. Also JB has no connection to her family on FB since day one. That seems off to me as well. IMO I believe it's a matter of time before the police descend on someone with murder charges. Unfortunately for everyone else murder investigations generally take an average of 2 years. Depending on the evidence they are able to gather. Some way shorter some way longer. Also the silence is odd and also why I think she is deceased. Even in the case of JMB where he was known to disappear for days at a time to take time for himself the posts and updates and pleas never stopped until he was located. Those are my thoughts.

Sadly, I don't think she's alive She doesn't seem the type to torment friends and family with a game of hide and seek, JMO.

If she is alive, I think she's unable to seek help for herself because she may be mentally unfit or unbalanced if there's a history of any mental health issues. I still think if this was the case she would've been seen in the street community at a soup kitchen, or gathering place for those vulnerable by now as well.

Oh I'm not sure.... Good question and tough call. The thing is, a FB page might attract comments - some legit some not but might also provide clues from comments. But if that's the case would LE discreetly set one up to monitor? I think they already know what happened and who's involved...

That was really bugging me too... until I happened upon something.. I think it was on someone/somegroup's FB page.. it was in relation to a group, possibly LARP.. and it mentioned something about going to Fish Creek Park for photos. I thought to myself, oh ok, that Park and those types of groups must just 'do' stuff like that? Weird to probably everyone except for themselves?

They have to have enough evidence to move. They have to wait for the person responsible to slip up. Most people can only go for so long before they slip up.

It would be wise to get the permission of the family. If for any reason, LE wants to keep things on the down-low, it may be contradictory to their efforts.

It's so quiet for whatever reason from the family I personally wouldn't. My mom doesn't understand the silence either. All through Christmas nothing was said at all about her. Not one mention.
