GUILTY Canada - Shannon Burgess, 25, Calgary, 26 Nov 2014 - #4 *Arrest*

Regardless of who it turns out to be, it is a tarabully peculiar hour for hikers to come across bones --- no?

Snipped...
...Canmore RCMP say hikers came across the remains around 11:30 p.m. in the Spray Lakes Reservoir area.

:thinking:

Where is Shannon???

Wonder if it's a typo from the article? Or maybe it was campers rather than hikers, is that a camp area?

Might be Sara Coates

We camp at Spray Lakes sometimes, beautiful place. I am always coming back to check on this case. It's just soooo quiet.

Might be Sara Coates

Excellent observation, especially with Sara's van being found in Morley, makes sense that she easily could have been camping in Spray Lakes. Calgary LE have been working with Columbia Valley, BC RCMP detachment in Sara's case. That would put these remains almost right in the middle (sts) of the investigation, geographically speaking.

Ita, Sara's family must be terribly concerned, same with Shannon's family.

Remembering Shannon, the actress who never was - cut out of her life too soon.

You speak as though she is gone, we do not know that for sure. Unless it has recently been reported in MSM...do you have a link ??

Sorry to jump in here, but Airdrie caught my eye.

Could the recovered woman be Kathy Liknes? Nathan O'Briens Grandmother?

I doubt that is likely.

It was just a thought.

I have been following this case for a very long time, and I wonder that if she has relocated under her own volition, if she would be able to stay away from acting. I personally think not, as she seemed to be very passionate about it. Not beyond the realm of possibility, I guess, that if she did walk away from her current life, that she has changed her name and is continuing to act.

I agree with you in that she did not just walk away. I have a feeling that body may be Sara Coates, but it sure seems to be taking a long time to hear anything back about the identity.

Her body is somewhere.
The last person to see her alive is her husband, in their shared home, and they were in an acrimonious split.

I think that Kathy Liknes, Nathan Obrien, and Liknes' husband were burned on the Airdrie property. There may be DNA, but I doubt that there will ever be a body.

Shannon Burgess is still missing. There's no explanation for her disappearance. She was safely at home after a work related trip spanning up to four days in Edmonton, presumably tired and thankful that he car brakes were working, and then she vanished. Her husband didn't act normal - no matter what anyone says about his evasive behaviour regarding concerned phone calls from family.

If she had been found, even if she were missing of her own volition, police would announced that she is safe and sound, and that she is no one's concern. That has not happened. If she was alive and well, her privacy would be respected by investigators.

She is not alive and well.

She is not alive and well.
But we do not know this for sure, strange things have happened before. These are all just speculation and opinion unless MSM or LE state otherwise.

Yes, I do. Has anyone heard from Shannon Burgess - the actress with a public persona - since her husband evaded phone calls from her family? The family realized she was missing, the husband did not report. Shannon and her husband were living together and she was last seen at their shared home.

<modsnip>
<modsnip>I was just trying to say that woman have taken off before and been found many years later. There are also ppl that have passed away only to find out they were not who they said they were.

I think perhaps this is a little OTT. Every one is entitle to their own opinion, meanwhile unless LE states that they believe she is deceased, such as in the case of O'Brien/Liknes even with out a body, then it would be entirely reasonable to assume that there is the possibility that she could still be alive.

Isn't the point of discussing these cases to come at it from every angle. Not one single person here personally knows Shannon Burgess, so therefore does not know one single thing about her life leading up to the day she was last seen. Who's to say the four days spent in Edmonton weren't prepartion for an upcoming move there.

There are plenty of women who have snapped and walked away from it all. Then there are the women who were presumed dead and left for dead because how on earth would they still be alive. Well, we as the people who are still around and are actively concerned for these victims owe it to them to explore every single option, be it death, be it an alias, be it anything.

Absolutely! Everyone should sit back and be entitled to an opinion about the woman that has been missing for months. Everyone is entitled to posture and toss out <modsnip> and theories, but the bottom line is that this woman vanished from her home on a cold winter night, and no one seems to be looking for her.

<modsnip>

Shannon Burgess is missing, and very likely murdered on the night that she was last seen in her home by her husband. What police can't sort out is whether he's telling the truth and she left, or he's lying and she never left. My money is on: she did not leave her home alive on the night that she was last reported alive.
