Sharon Gayle Dawson was last seen on Christmas day in 2010, when she left her home in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. She may have been seen on December 28, 2010 at the World Parrot Refuge near Coombs, where she volunteered a short distance away. She took her bank cards, but has not used them, and left her purse behind. Sharon had been living in BC for six months and had ties to Point Perry and Woodstock, Ontario.
