( I also apologize for too many posts, but I do not mind at all when others do it.)

Just a followup to this tragic story...
"The suspect was struck by at least one car and remains in hospital with serious injuries. He has not yet been formally charged. Schoolmates on scene Friday described Nijjar and the suspect as close friends but said that the boy had issues with depression. Some also said it may have been a case of the suspect wanting a relationship with Nijjar -- a feeling friends said was not reciprocated.

"It was an ongoing thing," said Alex Marinez, who said Nijjar had been stabbed. "She didn't want to (have a romantic relationship) with him, and he had some depression issues."

Marinez and other schoolmates also said the suspect had been writing about suicide on his Facebook page for the week leading up to Friday's double tragedy, and went as far as hinting he would take Nijjar's life along with his own.

Teen suspected in friend’s death dies of his injuries

The night that more than 100 people gathered at the site where Kiranjit Nijjar’s body was found Friday, the 16-year-old boy suspected in her death died in hospital.

Peel regional police confirmed Akash Wadhwa had “succumbed to his injuries” on Twitter Sunday evening.

Wadhwa, whose name had been withheld when he was alive because of his age, fell on to Hwy. 401 from the Mavis Rd. overpass two hours before Nijjar’s body was found.

According to Peel police he was likely run over by a car after he hit the road — given the nature of his injuries.

Before the events on Friday, Wadhwa had left a series of messages on Facebook, expressing his disappointment in life. One of the people he said goodbye to was 17-year-old Nijjar who called him her “best friend for life.”

Paramjit Sandhu, whose daughter was friends with Nijjar, had heard about the messages on Facebook. “If we knew he was a troubled kid, why didn’t anyone do anything?” he wondered.

Murder victim’s sister, realtor deny home buyer’s allegations

2011-09-29

By DAN PELTON Staff Reporter

The sister of murder victim Sonia Varaschin and a member of the real estate firm involved in the abortive sale of Sonia’s home have both denied allegations that they tried to conceal the fact that it was a murder scene.

The allegations of purchaser Brampton resident S J became the basis for a front-page article in the Sept. 15 issue of the Orangeville Banner, under the headline, “Varaschin’s home sold, buyer unaware of history.”

Soon after moving into their seemingly idyllic new home, a family learns of a brutal crime committed against former residents of the dwelling . . .

That’s the one-sentence synopsis of Dream House, a new Hollywood thriller — opening Friday — starring Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz.

And it was almost a reality for Samuel Jacques, a 30-year-old Bolton resident who was all set to buy his family’s first home until he saw the two-storey townhouse flash across his television screen last month.

from dotr's link -- this caught my attention:
Ontario Provincial Police investigators have never revealed where or how Varaschin was killed.

There was no forced entry into her home,

but the woman’s blood was found splattered throughout.
what does this mean? was there a trail of blood from the room where she was attacked (probably her bedroom) all the way to the front door? Or "splattered throughout" means in several rooms? *thinking of Marie-France*

Actually looked up the word splatter and learned something new from this particular definition.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/splatter

"Characterized by gory violence: splatter films".
dotr, in my previous post there is a link to an old article, in which Sonia's car (I know, not the townhouse we were talking about) is described as:
"Varaschin’s blood-spattered white Toyota Corolla"

from what we saw in the pics, it looked like a smudge under the trunk area; I guess sometimes the media tends to exaggerate a bit, JMO.

It turns out all the difference comes down to the letter L -spatter is little dots, splatter. big ones.

Spatter vs. splatter

"Spatter means to scatter or dash (a liquid) in small drops. The small drops are key; for example, a light rain might spatter the roof. Splatter, which came later and was probably formed by blending splash and spatter, has a similar meaning, but it doesn’t necessarily involve small drops. A splatter of liquid might be large and messy. For example, paint from an upturned bucket might splatter on the floor. Think of spatter as a synonym of sprinkle or spit, and splatter as closer to splash."

LOL dotr, Thanks :) -- believe it or not, I DID KNOW that :) but BIG THANKS anyway :)

About SPLATTER, that was my point EXACTLY!
Sorry, I know many times I cannot express clearly what I am trying to convey -- very frustrating I might add :(

Going back to my post #634, regarding:
Ontario Provincial Police investigators have never revealed where or how Varaschin was killed.

There was no forced entry into her home,

but the woman’s blood was found splattered throughout.
Will try my question again, and will try to be more specific:
Scenario 1
Sonia was already sleeping in her bed, and was surprised by her attacker (same as Jessica L) -- then the killer wrapped her body (dead or still alive, we don't know) in her own bed sheets/comforter -- carried her from her bedroom all the way down (assuming her bedroom is upstairs) and left through the front door (we have seen blood on the front door knob and front doorstep).

Scenario 2
Sonia was attacked before going to bed. She could have been in another room of the house (same as Marie-France), or she could have been attacked in her bed, but at some point she could have been able to escape/run (same as when M-F went to her bathroom).

My question was:
what does this mean? was there a trail of blood from the room where she was attacked (probably her bedroom) all the way to the front door? Or "splattered throughout" means in several rooms? *thinking of Marie-France*

and by that I meant: Did the "crime scene" that LE found at Sonia's place, indicate that Sonia fought her attacker running from room to room, similar to what happened at Marie-France's, for the article to say: "splattered throughout"?

--My question was not regarding the 'meaning of the word splattered" :)

--My other post (#637) regarding the word "spattered" was to give an example of how sometimes mainstream media exaggerates a bit ;) in their attempt to make a story more sensationalized.

In any case, I don't think the media is privy to those details; LE has kept all this info :silenced:
Hope it is more clear now

I noticed that Sonia had boxes of beer bottles in her garage, Canadian and Coors Light. I wonder if she had a gentleman over that weekend or sometime earlier in the week? It's a generalization I know, but I'll guess that a guy drank the Canadian and she had Coors Light. I wonder if LE got DNA from the beer bottles.

Hazel, you express yourself beautifully with words and pictures! I just wanted to make the distinction to establish which type was found where... and because I never noticed those words before lol!

I'm not sure if we're allowed to post the link here, but there's a new post on that blog about the person angry with the police for DNA testing men in the area.

R.e. blog guy: That guy is very creepy even if he isn't involved. Disrespectful too. He obviously hates women in general. I found it extremely special that he calls the police officer a 'chick'. That he even had to mention that the cop was a 'chick'. Wow.

don't know where to post this - there's too little known to justify creating a thread - since we had discussed here the rape in Barrie and CFB Borden was mentioned, will post it here, but it has nothing to do with that case

I haven't seen anything about the latest body that was found on Base Borden in the local paper.

There have been several suicides on the base in the last couple years.

I never noticed that I can't see her rear license plate either. Is it on the trunk? Must be.
