“Jonah's adjustments have been incredible, proving just how resilient children can be under the most dire and dangerous of circumstances; he's gone from complaining about the captain "Abdurahman"**beating him with a stick in 2015 because he cries too much, to complaining that he doesn't think Tim Hortons should be allowed to put plain timbits in his box.
*Really???? Stop. This is absurd. I grew up in a first world country, never beaten with a stick, and wouldn’t complain about doughnuts. Does he really think people are buying what he’s selling?*
But that's at least progress in the right direction, and God-willing, he'll continue to improve.
*There’s that “god willing” again. Cue eye roll *
We can certainly understand that many people do not understand what we were doing in Afghanistan, but the simple truth is that no pious Muslim and no pious Christian and no pious Jew has actually questioned our actions at all. We were raised in, live in and remain in different paradigms than those questioning us*are in.
To those who strive to devote their life to acting as a servant of God, no explanation is necessary. To those who don't strive to devote their life to acting as a servant of God, no explanation is possible. Unfortunately, it's really that simple.”
*Well, JB, I’m a devout catholic and I have no MF idea what you were doing there. I’m questioning your actions hardcore. I’m questioning you being such a servant of God, when you openly discuss your child being beaten with a stick, yet make a conscious decision to bring MORE children into such a situation. You are openly admitting you knew your child was being abused yet decided to bring more children into the world to face the same fate as your oldest. What kind of father and man of god are you? If I were your kids, I would never forgive my parents for being so selfish and narcissistic.*
