Legendary radio host Casey Kasem is "very near the end of his life," his wife told a judge Monday and a doctor who saw him told the court Kasem has a 50 percent chance to survive for six months.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Casey's prognosis but I'm so glad to hear that the judge didn't appreciate the recording that Jean played either!

Jean is a liar, IMO. He may be near the end of his life, but she's making it all about the money- which his kids have repeatedly stated it's not, and she didn't even mention her manipulations spiriting him away from CA in the middle of the night, the moaning recording, and tossing ground beef!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

The nursing home in LA would be the best place for him. They can get hospice on board, he can see his family and he'll be comfortable until the end. On an alternating pressure air mattress, which he desperately needs.

The thing that's also good is Jean can't "kidnap" him from there, he'll have lots of staff around him and maybe these bedsores can heal some.

I'm glad Julie & Mike will get to visit him without Jean's paranoid restrictions. He may be too frail to move back to CA. Jean may get her wish that his last days will be in WA state, but it won't be under her supervision in a private home! Clearly he wasn't getting the medical care he needed.

I'm glad as well. I think you're right I think it's just far too late to move him at this point. It was too dangerous for Jean to have moved him in the first place.

I'm hoping the Judge doesn't give full control back to Jean. And if she does I fear Casey will end up suffering a lot before he finally passes. I think it's disgraceful that Jean pulled him from proper care all because she wanted to keep his children away from him. Even if Casey had indicated to her he wanted to be in a home setting she should have ensured he was getting hospice care and 24 hr nursing care. Jean is NOT a nurse and it was insane for her to think she could care for Casey with his medical ailments. It's cruel to let a man get painful infections and bedsores and wait for him to die especially when it looks like the motive was just to keep his kids away and isolate him.

She's made it sound like they were close family friends, not friends of her parents in the 60's in Guam that she never met!!! Jean has been disingenuous about many of the circumstances of this circus. I'm inclined to not believe a word that comes from her mouth.

I think the best example of her manipulations is when she played that "audiotape" after the first court hearing she was required to attend. She claimed it was Casey and that it was in response to hearing what happened at the hearing and that his daughter would be allowed to see him. She completely intentionally misled the media and the public. Casey WAS moaning and crying but it WASN'T because of what happened in Court. It was due to extreme pain of having infections and multiple bed sores and being denied by his wife any sort or proper medical care and pain medications.

Jean has been very manipulative.
