She does appear to be incredibly manipulative and vindictive. It's a shame really. Because she's making a big deal out of nothing I'm sure she has already secured exactly what she wanted when she married Casey. She and her daughter will get Casey's entire estate and his other children have likely been completely written out of the will. Why she's fighting so hard to keep the entire world from Casey is beyond comprehension. I'm really hoping nothing nefarious is going on and that Casey really does have the illness he's been diagnosed with and it's not Jean doing something to him and slowly killing him. Something though is just NOT right about Jean's behavior.
 
Why only the one daughter gets to see him? What about the other daughter, and his son?
 
Wow. JMO, but it sounds like both of them need an evaluation by "professionals"...

Huh? The kids didn't throw raw meat at anyone ... only Jean did.

Why is this so hard?

Who released a "moaning, crying audio" ... Jean did. I have no clue what that audio was all about about, but SHAME on Jean for doing that. jmo

Casey Kasem's other daughter, Julie Kasem, and her husband, Dr. Jamil Aboulhosn, have said her father signed papers in 2007 giving them the power of attorney over his heath care in the event he was unable to make his own health decisions.
But Julie and Kerri Kasem and their brother, Mouner Kasem, have contended since last year that Jean Kasem has prevented the three from visiting their father.

The fight is not about an inheritance, Kerri Kasem said.

An impartial 3rd party or even the other daughter and her husband would be best in this situation. Jean is watching her husband of 34 years at the end of his life so her emotions run high. As for Kerri; I can't imagine her father, Casey, being too proud of the image his daughter created for herself over the years. All you have to do is a search 'Kerry Casem's _______' [fill in the blank with any body part] and it isn't exactly what a dad wants to see. IMHO

I'm proud of Kerri (helps to spell her name right) and her siblings. They make me proud, as a daughter.

Each to their own.

He by a medical doctor and she by a psychiatrist.

There is nothing to suggest Mr. Kasem was ashamed of his daughter. He spoke with her every day and saw her weekly before he became incapacitated. He never made comments suggesting he wast proud of any of his kids.

Kids make mistakes. They make choices you dislike. That doesn't mean you wat to be cut off from them when you're dying, by an insecure and jealous spouse.
 
Apparently, per the yahoo article, after a doctor Kerri had examine her father it was determined that he is suffering from bedsores, lung and bladder infections. :(

Kerri Kasem said she is increasingly worried about her father's condition, after the Seattle physician hired by Jean Kasem told her that he now has bed sores, a lung infection, and a urinary tract infection — ailments he did not have when he was at Berkeley East Convalescent Hospital in Santa Monica, she said.
