May they all be at peace. I'm glad his older children were able to be with him in the end. I'm also pleased they agreed to release his remains. Death should not divide.

Agreed. Her press conference stunt was complete proof that she intentionally misled the public that Casey was upset his children would be allowed to see him. His moaning was due to him being in extreme pain by the bedsores she allowed to get infected while in her sole care and WITHOUT pain medication. She flat out lied.

Also she did not dutifully care for Casey in his last months of life. She spent those months shuttling him around from home to home to keep him from his kids, family and friends. According to the Santa Monica facility Jean and Liberty dumped Casey at the home and did not visit him for 4 months!!!!! Only when she was informed that his daughters had gotten to visit him did she go down and remove him from the facility.

And why would Jean divorce Casey when he was so close to death? Why would she rather have half of the 80 million if she could just stick it out and get the full 80 million?

She also lied saying they were on vacation with family friends, when clearly it was just to hide him out at their house (who takes a bedridden person on vacation?) and neither of them even knew the people whose house they were staying at!

Nope it didn't. Doesn't surprise me in the least. I just hope she takes her all important prize of his entire estate and goes back under a rock and we don't hear from her again. She's got what she wants now she just needs to move on. Ironically now Jean will have to go through what Casey did and worry about someone marrying her for her money.

sorry to quote myself but this explains how much his countdowns meant to me and i'm sure many others as a preteen and teen.....in those days, there was no mtv, vh1, google etc........so he was our "lifeline" to all the scoop in the music world....he brought the humanity to the performers and their songs

Yeah I could have called this. Jean is just a mean and vindictive woman. I figured she would go after the small trust (in compassion to the huge 80 million Jean just inherited) Casey left his other 3 kids. It will be hard for her to get her hands on it considering he set up the trust well before he married Jean. But she will probably try to drain his kids in legal fees to fight her on it. She's a terrible woman. I only hope karma meets her, and soon.

I think for Jean it's more about making his kids "pay" I think she's just a very vindictive woman. Remember this is a woman who emotionally abused and verbally berated a housekeeper because she thought she was stealing toilet paper and paper towels!!!! Jean is clearly ALL about money and making sure she gets every single penny. I'm sure for her 80 million isn't enough she wants it all and wants to ensure his children get NOTHING.

The trust in question, according to sources, is 2 million. To be split among the three children. That's nothing compared to the 80 million Jean got. It must be vindictiveness to not just go her separate way with Casey's entire fortune of 80 million and crawl back under the rock she came from with her boyfriend of 2 years. But no she also wants the money Casey set aside for his kids BEFORE he even married Jean. She's just a horrid, raw meat throwing, vindictive, you know what.

this action does seem to be full on spite. I mean while Casey was alive, she could at least try to justify her actions as being about what she felt was in his best interest (cough over curseword).

But this fighting after his death over what amounts to a small amount of money for his children according to a plan he put in place forever ago when she is getting the lion's share of his sizable estate is just plain mean spirited.

I don't see how that can be spun any other way quite frankly.

I am not one to kick someone when they are down but dang how the heck does any find this a sympathetic, likable person?

Jean Kasem is a bitter washed-up hag. Casey Kasem should be given a proper burial now! I have to wonder how their daughter is being affected by this. I would hate to be Jean Kasem. How did Casey put up with her all those years?

3.5 weeks later and his body is still in the morgue in Washington State
