Casey Refuses Another Visit From Lee Fox News

  • #21
If that's the case, will she lock herself in her bedroom & refuse to speak to anyone.... at home OR on the phone?

Nah. I think she's just playing mind games & being a control freak with the ONLY thing in the world she can still control.... who she'll grant the honor of a visit to.

IMO Lee can get the truth out of her and she doesn't want anything incriminating on tape. If the bond hearing goes as planned, she'll see him in a few days at home where she won't be videotaped.

Do you see Lee as being the type if Casey were to say where Caylee's location is, alive or deceased, to give that information to LE? Do you think Casey's parents would do the same?

Casey's not about to hang herself, she has already done that IMHO. I was just speaking with my husband before he was heading to work and I was just telling him how panicked I was when my 24 yr old daughter took off when she was a toddler ( 18 months old ), and I couldn't find her in the house after a few minutes of wondering where she was, and I ran to my neighbor and told her that I couldn't find my daughter, and within seconds we had a dozen or so other neighbors running in all directions trying to find her. Luckily after 15 minutes, one of the neighbors found her toddling down three blocks away. I'm thinking back now to my state of mind and how panicked I was back then. How could Casey be so calm after not knowing where her daughter is after all this time? Only one of two things, she knows she is dead, or she knows who has her.

And what scares me the most about this, is IF the small chance this is correct what kind of sick twisted game is she playing with her family. I have a very difficult time believing she would buckle down and it would be worth spending so much time in jail.

I think he would. I think her parents would too. I don't think any of them could leave Caylee where she is.

fact: Cindy called LE to report Caylee missing

fact: Cindy,George, and Lee have continued to talk to LE and the media in spite of the fact that Casey won't and that Casey continues to maintain that talking to anyone will cause harm to Caylee.

IMO they haven't always represented themselves well, but I agree with the opinion of LE and Mark Klass (see the transcript in the Caylee threads) that the family is a victim of Casey in this and they are not involved.

Thanks SouthernMom. I am just weeding out some stuff. Hard to keep up with the threads. :banghead:

Exactly Wedavis, what caring mother wouldn't call their child whom they haven't seen in more than 31 days if she was with the babysitter ZG. Wouldn't Caylee be crying to speak with her mommy before she goes to sleep at night or in the mornings when she wakes up? I know my 11 yr old goes for overnight visits and must hear my voice before going to sleep at night and must call me in the mornings when she wakes up.
First the babysitter/nanny ZG has Caylee
Next kidnappers have Caylee
They know who has Caylee but can't say for fear of something happening to the child
The kidnappers are being watched

The kidnappers must be watching the news if they have Caylee, wouldn't saying they are being watched be the worst thing anyone involved in this case would say? Why tell the people who have kidnapped your grandchild that they are being watched? I just don't get it. Is that suppose to scare the kidnappers into returning Caylee?

If they are being watched, why not bring SWAT in and recover the child?

Gee, george, THAT statement made alot of sense:rolleyes:

She's about to possibly be bailed out...I knew she wouldn't take his visit. It's actually- as much as I hate to say it..good advice from her attorney. She's on the home stretch..why take a chance..

I think Casey has a harder time lying to Lee. He asks her too many questions and she suspects he is onto her.

We already know Cindy washed clothes that smelled like a corpse & they also cleaned the car..... when they KNEW Caylee was missing.

I can see her family holding on to the wild fantasy that some mean person kidnapped Caylee & Casey is only guilty of 'negligence' & fear of getting into trouble for losing track of Caylee nothing more.

I can see them maybe getting the location of the body from Casey & then telling LE that they got a tip from someone who knew the 'kidnapper?'

Casey might be willing to talk IF they promise not to tell LE what she said.

Tip from the kidnapper, say a phone call? Phone records would show if that were the case. A letter from the kidnappers? Would have to show the LE proof of that as well. So how exactly would they receive this tip?

By refusing visits because the talks are public, is Casey protecting herself in a possible murder trial or the child neglect one?

Casey is a B1TCH.

If she doesn't want to see Lee or anyone else, why wait until the last minute.... why make the person waste THEIR TIME coming down to the jail & signing in only to see if the Queen is in the mood to receive visitors from her royal subjects?

If she's been told not to discuss the 'case' they can talk about music or movies or the weather or any other safe topic.

IMO, Casey is super pissed at Lee because he dared to tell her that none of the 'leads' she gave him checked out at all.... and she knows everyone else heard him tell her! That's way to close to being called a LIAR & Miss Casey can't stand the truth being thrown into her fantasy world.

Not that I can understand how anyone in her family can even stomach looking at her smug face. Ewwwwwww

LOL
2 true
I dont think casey makes any sense or has any reasons..she is just a fairly miserable sister and I think Lee is the one family member who is on 2 her.
(However, I think she simply does whatever serves her at any given moment-just because she can).

BINGO!!!! I agree 100%!

I agree that this is the most likely reason for her canceling. I am sure it is increasingly more uncomfortable for her to talk to Lee as well. He definitely presses her for more details...and is not as likely to buy into what she says.

But even if she agreed to meet and discuss the weather, sports, etc....that could be twisted by the media. They would play the video and say "look at her...she doesn't care what is happening to Caylee...she only cares about tomorrow's storm system!" LOL. Trust me - I am not saying the media has her pegged wrong...I am just saying that even innocent topics would not put her in a favorable light. So she would be smart to shut up and just wait for a couple of days if she is being bailed out.

I personally think it would be awesome to be a fly on the wall if and when she gets home (for many reasons)! But I wonder how it will make her feel when she starts surfing the net and watching the news and finds out how many people despise her and her behavior. That the whole nation has her pegged as a liar! I wonder if it will register with her....

Nope, she will probably be like Scott Peterson and be pissed at the entire world for doubting her story. We will be the bad one's not her.

Oh - no doubt she will act pissed off. But she has buckled some when she was confronted on her lies....like at Universal...so she does show the potential to admit she lies. Even if she doesn't realize what people think of her, and is just angry at everyone...that is enough for me! Maybe the sheer drama of her anger will cause her to do or say something stupid. In any case - upset, angry, frustrated, pissed - anything but "just happy to be home" works for me!

I agree that even if Casey thinks she "knows who has Caylee" (ZHG?) she just doesn't know where <shiver>.h Te day she went to pick up Caylee (June 9th at first, then changed to June 16th-ish later) she should have been at least concerned. But the fact the apartment (#210) was suddenly emptied, cleaned and ready for a new resident to arrive since you last left about 6 hours ago - well then the next step should be Worry. Night falls and the clock strikes twelve and the babysitter still won't tell you where you can pick up your child (if she's talking to you at all) - well now we've arrived at the third step: Panic! The first call to 911 should have been within 5 minutes of Casey arriving to pick-up Caylee at "ZG's apartment", but no, her first 911 call came "31 days" later on July 15th through her mother Cindy's sense of panic.

Even if Casey is calm because, as you suggest, she knows who has Caylee then how can we explain how Casey knew someone well enough to leave her daughter with that person for an undefined amount of time with no compensation yet none of her family or friends who were a part of Caylee's daily life (and financial support) had a clue to who this person is? Even if Casey trusts this fictional person, and was able to party at Fusions on June 20th, just 4 days after anyone last saw Caylee, if neither Casey or the GP's are financially supporting Caylee (food, medicine, diapers?, clothes) who is willing to do that? And even if one could say Casey sold Caylee to a loving couple - where's the money? How come she was reduced to stealing gas and borrowing shovels and friends cars if she had just sold her child?

And never forget the overwhelming oder of human decomposition (according to both Cindy the RN, and a homicide detective with LE) in Casey's car; combined with suspicious fluid stains, hairs and soil samples that LE seem to be keeping close to their chest. How many of us have had our automobiles wreak of something dead + had a relative or friend go missing? Not I, and I hope no one on the jury has either.

I know people who will foist their kids off on any available person. It is way of thinking that I personally do not think is right. I know people who have 3 or more kids with 3 or more different "caregivers." It sickens me...but there is a certain type of parent that might not panic if her kid isn't where she left her last. KWIM?

Now, if a number of hours pass, I think even these people I know who play pass the kids would panic if they couldn't find their children.

You are right..her meeting with Lee is a lose lose situation. If she weren't to discuss the case then she is a heartless wench...if she did discuss the case she would incriminate herself..it's the nature of the beast. She KNEW prior to meeting her parents that the converstation WOULD NOT be released. I'm not so sure she got the same cushion when it came to Lee visiting.

O/T but kinda not...

Have any of you read Erased, by Marilee Strong? The book itself is non fiction and talks about the mindset of men who "erase" their wives or girlfriends, like Scott Peterson, Mark Hacking, Bart Corbin and others. I wouldn't mention it here, but the first real chapter of the book talks about the psychology around eraser killings (as they are called), and the first section talks about the pathological lying and the inherent need to do so by those who commit those kinds of crimes. It's an intense first part of the book because while you're reading it, you can make a complete connection to Casey Anthony's behavior and lies literally by replacing the word "he" with the word "she" in every sentence in every paragraph decribing the behavior of such people. It's really astonishing how the lies and behavior she's displays maps so closely those have been convicted of eraser killings and helps you better understand why some folks following this case reference those other cases when talking about this one.

It's available on Amazon, and if you're like me and not investing in book shelves anymore, it's in the Kindle edition too :)

Thanks! I will have to check that one out. Sounds like an interesting read even if that isn't what happened here! But it sure fits doesn't it?
