Casey To Serve One Year Probation

psst, psst, the OP is a "he".

As I said earlier, it's the mind set that get you into trouble. The OP says she made one mistake one time. Casey's entire life has been lying, stealing and evading responsibility. THAT's where you run into problems with probation... People with a history of criminal behavior.

A year of probation after 412 days in jail will seem like nothing, regardless of your age.

It depends on how old you are. When young a year of anything feels like forever.

Not quite sure which part of Florida you served your probation in or in what year but I can tell you that it's not the way you are describing any longer. She will have to report for her full 12 months. She will wait in the probation office's waiting room for as long as they want to make her wait every month, she will become gainfully employed irregardless of whether she's in school or not, she will pay up to $50 a month since she had her own attorney ($35-40 if she had a public defender), she will be subjected to random drug testing at any given time, she will have her probation officer check in with her at random times without notice, she will be required to have a working phone whether cell or landline because they can and will call her at any given hour that they so choose. These are just a few of the requirements that she will have to meet courtesy of the Florida Department of Corrections. She will have to ask permission from her probation officer to leave the county and provided she has made her monthly payment, they can allow her to go. If she hasn't made her payment for the month, she will not be allowed to go unless the probation officer's supervisor agrees to it. If she wishes to move, it has to be approved by not only her probation officer but the supervisor of that office in addition to the approval of the probation officer and supervisor in the other county. They can and will violate you if you fail to follow their rules. If she thinks she's going in there and it's going to be a walk in the park, she's got another thing coming. They have seen it and heard it all, and you can bet they can and will make your life miserable if they choose too.

god forgive but i hope the PO DOES make her life miserable!!!

She'll either work for the defense team, or somebody will give her a cushy job as an 'assistant'. But any arrangement involving actual 'work' will not make KC a happy camper. She's too lazy. And wherever she goes her true colors will eventually shine through. In time she'll just spell t-r-o-u-b-l-e for those around her.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I will add to that the one who offers FICA the "assistant" or cushy job in their office will, after a time begin to realize that a 40 hour work week alongside FICA is not an enjoyable experience and that 1 year is going to be a rrrealllly long one.JMO.

:cupcake: INDEED.
I love this motion. I especially enjoyed the little talk he gave Jose about zeal and ignorance as well as what I felt was a warning about self governing. Sounded like he was getting ready to take the trash out!
Maybe cut ole Jose off at the
:saber: knees?

And I ABSOLUTELY love the last part, where he points out how popular his little celebrity is with the world. Creepy.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I am well aware that someone would like to do harm, therefore DENIED!!!!

Wonder what kind of "employment" she will have.

Casey can't get a real job in the real world, nobody is going to hire her.

I predict that her DT will fabricate some 'worthy' clerical carp for her to do, slap a title on it and call it a 'job'. It'll fit right in with her pretend friends, pretend life and pretend therapy.

Nancy Grace just tweeted this:
NancyGraceHLN Nancy Grace
George & Cindy Anthony atty release statement Tot Mom #CaseyAnthony will NOT serve her probation at their house.

Final Cindy says something I believe from her. Florida is now officially one big ice pond!:floorlaugh:

Okay, I believe you have not wished to consider other points of view. IMHO. I understand that. I understand that yours is an opinion that is not readily embraced here, but you must take your stand - this is to be well thought of. However, in our tiny little voice, many of us have taken up this imaginary boycott, written letters (examples not searchable here - not all of us publish these opinions); we've attempted to vote with our dollars, and our voice - civilly - heard.

But I must admit, your vehemence makes me think of other websites that celebrate the presence of adverse, even antithetical opinions in order to create larger distractions.

Am I wrong? We are quite clear on what you would not have happened, quite clear also on what your opinions of many posters here might be. But I must ask you, what, specifically, would you have seen as appropriate?

Yes, I love the fact that he didn't have to quote the content in the article but DID!!!! Creepy indeed!:great:

As a result of mistakes made one night, I was arrested, charged, found guilty of dui, and sentenced to among other things, one year probation. I was completely guilty and assume all responsibilty. The year of probation was NO BIG DEAL.

At most a minor inconvience of having to report to my po for 30 minutes once a month for the first 9 months, and after that mailing in the forms for the final 3.

I traveled out of state every other weekend for 4 of the months, and never had a problem getting a travel pass. These travels were of pleeasure trips, I could fill out the forms a month at a time. All I had to do was list why I was going there (I live(d) in Florida, and had (have) seasons tickets to the Dallas Cowboys, and went to most their games, home and away, how I would be getting there, and where I would be staying. I was never denied a travel permit. I did not work, nor did I have any verifiable income in the state of Florida.

The biggest pain? The $20 I had to pay each month had to be in the form of a money order - I had to stop some where and get 12 of them.

..your probation was clearly not the same as felon's probation.

..it will be an "incovenience" for her to drop by once a month...
( b/c she can't be hanging out in california----if she has to report in to orlando.
..fill out forms and tell the truth??? now that's something-- foreign to her....)

.. ( unlike you )----she IS to get 'lawful employment'.
( shocker to her-------since she HASN'T HAD a J.O.B. in forever..)

..i have no idea if she will "have trouble getting a travel pass"
( shocker to her----wahhhh! i have to ask PERMISSION ???---me???)

..her probation officer has the right to stop in at her J.O.B. and her home and check things out.
( now THAT will put a damper on --her life in general--made to follow the rules???...at all times????..wahhhhhh...make this stop.)

..i'm sure she will need to provide PROOF of employment.
( and not as she told DCF----i HAVE paystubs!.... they're around here somewhere.....OCSO is lying--)

..yes, she can go to the club, participate in a "hotbody" contest.
( but------she can NOT get drunk-----and we've all seen her after a few------puking in the parking lot comes to mind..)

..probation WILL have an effect on her NORMAL life------the checking in part may be minimal-----but "being responsible" -----now THERE is a whole new concept for the felon....and she will feel it....(IMO).

I wonder if adult probation is as bad as juvenile probation. My teen relative is on probation and they've made the family life miserable having to go to all sorts of meetings, telling which doctor they can use, calling the dentist office to verify an appointment without identifying themselves, seeing crazy counselors, scrutinizing every word the family says, and there was a change of various school settings 13 times in one year. Not that they're not doing their job, but probation officers seem to be very deceptive, mean, cunning, and not above lying at all. Casey may have met her match with narcissistic behavior.

Not all colleges require either a ged or hs diploma for one to enroll.

She could get her GED very easily anyhow. And then she could attend Full Sail University, the same place all her friends attended. They even offer a full schedule of online classes.

BBM: She doesn't have a HS diploma, so the only thing she can enroll in is
GED courses. Some community colleges offer such courses, but not on a basis where she can qualify as a full-time student. Besides, it's a little late to enroll for the fall term. I think your baby-doll is cooked, she took a guilty plea on those charges, and now she is going to have to make it up to her community.

Full Sail is a private, for profit college. She will have to undergo an application process and it's very likely given that it is a private college, she will not be accepted because she is a SIX TIME CONVICTED FELON.

I do not recall any. One was a 7 day multi city trip, but most were Fri or Sat till Monday. One time I actually was able to reschedule my monthly meeting with out any problems. My po really didn't care as long as I supplied the info she asked for.

+respectfully snipped+

Was there any restriction on how long you could travel for (ie each trip)?

If FICA had wanted to get her GED or to get some kind of college education she had 3 years of nothing but time on her hands with which to do it and the fact that the GED and college education would have been free. FICA is lazy she will never get her GED nor will she obtain any kind of degree, she is lacking in ambition and the initiative it takes to get an education.JMO.

I always reflect on FCA's jail tantrum, "My life has been taken from me, everything has been taken from me, all I have for comfort is myself" , paraphrased.

Nothing has changed. FCA faces a pretend future in her pretend life while always watching her back to make sure some nutjob does not take her life for real ... Like she did Caylee.

Freedom has a price and life will never be what FCA had wanted it to be, it is a virtual prison as someone that is hated by many. La Bella Vita? ... Or a nightmare?

KC has no credit. She owes the IRS $68,000. She is not eligible for a student loan. jmo

I have worked as a college adviser.

The government would not just pay for her to go to college. In spite of her tax bill, she would be eligible to apply for a government loan thru' FAFSA. There are small grants available (Pell grants which are being cut drastically) but it is rare to have your entire tuition covered by grants. She would have to repay any government loans - they cannot be discharged under bankruptcy.
She would have to maintain good grades to retain her eligibility. She might be able to get a scholarship once she establishes a good academic record, but most scholarships are a small percentage of tuition and the competition is fierce.

She would probably not qualify for private (bank) loans on her own as she has no credit history.

Some colleges - especially private schools - and many programs, do not accept convicted felons, so her choices would be somewhat limited.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Full Sail was FOR profit...
