Now that we've had some exposure to Judge HHJP - I'm assuming he wrote his response to the appeal before he left for holidays and left it with his clerk to file if applicable.

JVM just said that the prosecution "didn't open their mail" referring to Frank George stating in court that he wasn't aware of the probation issue/question until Judge Strickland said "that wasn't my order".

Would the prosecutor's office have been sent anything in the mail about the check fraud case probation???


ETA: She was saying they were so over-confident about their case that they "didn't open their mail"....

Appeal court gives state until Monday to file response on Casey Anthony probation issue

"The appeal court's three-judge panel said the State Attorney's Office, Florida Attorney General's Office, Perry and Judge Stan Strickland have until Monday.

Neither judge is required to respond.

The order said if Anthony wants to file a reply, her attorneys must do so by noon Tuesday."

She keeps repeatedly insinuuating that they should have known about it and I wish someone would ask whether or not they normally would get notices like that in the first place and tell her to quit repeating it if it's not something they would have been sent.

Either they wanted the media buzz (that's what I believe), or they were overly anxious.

Another reason could be a deliberate technique, delaying the final appeal decision till after next week... So the appellate court does not have enough time for actual deliberation on the appeal, even if fast tracked, only time left for a temporary stay prior to Friday, next week. I think that is one reason why HHJP gave them plenty of time to allow for an emergency appeal. They dragged their feet on it for ,IMO, obvious reasons. Daytona is not several hundred miles away.
Even if it was, TM could have piloted them :floorlaugh:

I have a feeling Mason has been taking care of all these motions because Baez has decided it is best for him to lie low, he has made many enemies in the Orange County Courthouse and if he is lucky enough to keep his licence to practice law then he must hope these judges and pros will have forgotten what a disgrace he is in the courtroom.

Mason is well on his way to retirement and could care less about making enemies at this point, Baez on the other hand has a way to go and does not want his name attached to any of these motions that Cheney is putting out blasting the judges and Attorney General.

Baez did his dirt and now it seems he wants to separate himself from any further bashing of the OC judges hoping to clean himself up.

May be Baez is not proficient enough to write up an appeal. Ms Fryer is and refused to be a ghost writer but wants credit for her work.

Apparently D.O.C did send a letter to the State's Attorney office that probation had started for KC.
It is on HHJB denied motion for probation on page 5 of 13
