Casey's Body Language and Reactionary Comments#3

[/B]

Above bolded by me.

I think this is what infuriates people. Just moo.

I Totally Agree!

Cindy and George will NEVER understand that though..:banghead:...imo

To be completely fair..there have been times when I thought that I glimpsed shame come across George's face when they start this carp. I'm sure Cindy tells him right quick like though, that there is no reason to feel that...it's all about THEM..and that's the end of that. <mho of course..

She actually had the audacity to tell Amy during the car ride, regarding Amy's stolen money, that "yeah honey, you're not getting that back". Well of course not, she had not one, but two anthony's that swiped that wad of cash from her. CA even told George, "this is probably Amy's money". Blah.

Bless Amy's heart. She is but a few years younger than me, and I know for me that is a good chunk of money, and without it I'd be living in a refrigerator box.

Just have to add that I give kudos to Amy for the manner in which she maturely handled this situation. Being thrust into this case as one of the major "players", she took the high road, did what was right, and is continuing her young adult life without engaging herself in the media storm for personal financial gain (like SO MANY others!)

Can you imagine the media swarm if she HAD shown up at the hearing?

I wish her only the best, and hope she eventually marries someone with a common last name like Smith, Davis, Green, .......

KC did not say I am sorry for all the things I have put you though this year, the finger pointing as the possible nanny, the lying about moving in together, stealing the $400 vacation money, etc. In the end KC said, "I'm sorry about not being a good friend." So essentially what KC is saying is IT IS STILL ALL ABOUT ME!!!!! Now what I see is KC not finishing that sentence about being a good friend with "but if you hadn't left the darn checkbook in your car then I would not have had to use it"....so essentially, AH, it's still your fault. "Oh, and by-the-way AH, what took me so long to plead guilty....it took awhile for AL to talk me out of adding that last part." She's not sorry. We saw her do this to GA in the jailhouse video stating that she wanted to see him by himself because they had not been close because she knew her father was the weak link re: the smell from the trunk and would have to testify to the grand jury. JMO

Lamb - I am 100% with you on this one. Been thinking about this since the hearing but just haven't had time to post. She turned that apology 180 degrees and made it all about her. I really believe she thought everyone should be feeling sorry for her after her little speech. It was manipulation disguised as an apology. She really is consistent - it is all about her. Notice too that every time she shows emotion, it is when SHE is being referenced (remember that she got upset when AL was going on about what a good mother she had been at the hearing prior to this one, and now this. And she's usually stone faced or angry when Caylee is talked about).

I so know what you are talking about. I too have caught glimpses of GA where if he were not sitting right beside CA, if she were not squeezing his hand or leg or some part of him as a reminder to "keep to the story!", lets just say....I think the beans would be spilled by now. MOO

And I even keep an open mind about "maybe GA even helped KC AFTER the fact". And I think if he did....he'd even spill that if not for CA. moo

Dr. Glass does have some credentials to back up her opinion...

http://www.drlillianglass.com/biography/

"After receiving her Ph.D. at the young age of 24, in the field of Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota, her doctoral dissertation "The Psychosocial Perceptions of Speech and Cosmetic Appearance on Patients With Craniofacial Anomalies" has become a landmark study. It was there that she combined her minor studies in Clinical Genetics with her major, Communication Disorders. Earlier, she received her MS Degree in Speech from the University of Michigan and graduated Magna 🤬🤬🤬 Laude with a BS from Bradley University in Speech and Hearing Sciences. There, she was selected nation-wide to be one of Glamour Magazine's "Ten Top College Women”.

She completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Medical Genetics at UCLA School of Medicine, where she was both the youngest and only Ph.D. in an MD program. Dr. Glass then went on to become a university professor at USC. There, she taught in the Medical and Dental schools and in the Liberal Arts college. Her research on psychosocial and communication aspects of patients with genetic diseases has been published in professional journals worldwide."

I wonder how she did all this without being able to spell or use proper punctuation?

I'm still new to posting, so please forgive me if this is in the wrong thread, but since it's about Casey's "reactions", I was wondering if anyone else saw what I thought I saw..

In part 2 of the wftv videos of the check fraud case (I don't know how to link yet), after Casey has apologised and she is sitting at the table with JB (AL is at the podium), Casey is still using the kleenex to dab at her eyes and swipe her nose and at one point, it appears that JB says something to her and she covers her mouth with the kleenex and it looks to me like she's laughing...

Am I crazy?

The website listed above is pretty complex and breaks down the body language techniques into anatomical regions, ie; arms, legs, hands, face, etc...You may have to do some reading to find one that corresponds with our "subject".

There is much more that others will pick up on, but the first thing that struck me, in regards to Casey's body positioning, in the hearing was this. It was taken from the above website.

BBM.

Attack signals

"When somebody is about to attack, they give visual signal such as clenching of fists ready to strike and lowering and spreading of the body for stability. They are also likely to give anger signs such as redness of the face."

http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/aggressive_body.htm

Obviously the clenching of the fists, exhibited by Casey, grabbed my attention.
I am sure there are others that I missed, like the holding of one arm with her fist. I am certain this must mean something, but I had a hard time finding it. Maybe some WS'ers will figure it out along the way.

From the same link. The hand rubbing has always intrigued me seeing as the defendant is in Florida and not snowbound somewhere.
Rubbing

Rubbing the hands together can mean that the person is cold. It also means the person is feeling particularly gleeful about something. This can be a shared benefit and be used in a conspiratorial way.
When they do this less obviously and more slowly, they might thinking that they are going to benefit at the expense of someone else. Watch also for small smiles and defocused eyes as they imagine a rosy future (at least for them)...........
more at link

Gleeful is actually a really good descriptor in this instance. She stops rubbing shortly after sitting down.

No I saw that as well. Her shoulders even move up and down. You aren't crazy. The accused is another case.
I bet JB mentioned she had done a good job faking the tears and memorizing her lines and she laughed because she had done it even better in her cell looking at herself in the mylar mirror.

I think the hand rubbing nit picking of her clothes and hair fondling are signs of anxiety
She consistently shows inappropriate reactions and emotions. I suspect because KC
doesnt really live in reality but a fanasty world where she has a job a nanny and a
boyfriend who loves and adores her.

ita that it's anxiety (compulsive) related.

I saw the same thing. I thought I saw her lips mention something about blowing her nose.

Nope, I saw it too and posted about it on the hearing thread. :blowkiss:

Did anyone else notice during KC's "crying jag", (while she was seated), that there was a point at which she was blowing her nose and both hands sorta covered her face, and she then appeared to laugh a couple of times, as she tried to hide the laughter?

Is her hand rubbing a sign to George that "we are family"?

Or just a compulsive action?

landauxvsse - I thought I saw the same thing - I think she was laughing.
Why would she be laughing?

I can't help but wonder if they have some inside joke between them where they can just say a word or two to remember it... maybe they make fun of or have a nickname for Andrea? Just some thoughts of my own

Bold is mine.

ITA. I bet she can smell a "Casey" from a mile away now too!

I so hope you are right OLG. I hope it doesn't manifest itself into some unhealthy attribute like she is constantly second guessing herself about a new "friend's" affection or worse that she finds it difficult to trust another "friend" at all again. moo
