Casey's Body Language and Reactionary Comments#3

I wonder if the Judge takes notice of Casey's attitude. Wonder if he saw her give Baez a sympathetic squeeze today. Or if he noticed her grabbing his arm yesterday.

I do see she laughs and fools around before he steps into the courtroom and then she takes a 180 for a while. It's so blatant.

I not sure if it was Amil..but I read a first hand account that Judge Perry is well aware of what is going on in the court room..he looks up and takes it all in...Maybe it was Magpie on the HinkyMeter..

Please also keep in mind that when the DCF person interviewed her at her house (when she was released on bond)--she still stuck to the working at Universal----perhaps she believes her own lies....:banghead:

OMG Zoey
I could not believe what I was reading when that discovery came out..
Casey was still trying to convince authorities that she currently worked at Universal...

Here is the link to the DCF Report
http://orlandosentinel.image2.trb.com/orlnews/media/acrobat/2008-11/43228283.PDF

Casey told DCF that she looked forward to telling her side of the story to someone (other than her family and law enforcement). Cindy started talking, Casey stopped her, saying this was her chance to speak.

Casey stated that she left Caylee with Zanny so she could go to work.
Casey told them (despite what LE says) she works at Universal Studios in the Event department.
DCF asked about the Nanny but Casey said she couldn’t reveal more because of her criminal case.

Casey tells the story about Caylee’s father. They met in middle school and that his name was Eric. Eric and his family moved to Kentucky, where he later died in a car crash. She refused to give his last name to protect his family’s privacy.

Walking with her down that long hall at Universal must have been a shocker. People lie to LE all of the time, sure, but most back off or admit it once they are cornered.
MOST liars would concede once the two detectives say 'Let's go see your office at Universal, shall we?" ...but not Casey. She played it out through the entire ordeal, telling the security desk that she lost her ID, telling the people with the employee directory that there must be some mistake. The detectives must have been in awe of her audacity. :liar:

This is what I want in. It's been almost 3 years since this happened, and it still blows my mind every time I think about it. I ran with a 'rough crowd' when I was young; almost every one of my exes ended up serving time in prison, and to this day I can't think of a single person I have ever known in my life that would have the nerve to do this.

I completely believed YM when he testified he could not believe the mother of a missing two-year-old child would go to all the trouble she went to to lie about this, because I still have a hard time believing it. I don't understand what purpose it served, it's not like it provided an alibi for her or anything, and IMO, I think it would have served her better to tell LE on all those occasions she was not around her family before this trip to Universal to tell them she didn't really work there and she had just made this up to get her family off her back.

WFTV - RAW VIDEO: Yuri Melich Testifies At Casey Hearing (Part 4 of 4)

Inmate Anthony grabbed JB's arm when he was objecting to LDB showing Melich a photo of KC in blue hoodie smiling very big and a photo of KC in same hoodie with jail visitor badge on chest

LDB says to Melich - once you went to Sheriff office - you asked KC - get photo of KC for flyers of missing child

(11:41) - - show you State P - Baez will object to that - photo taken at OCSO after Univ St - to be placed on flyer - Defense object to relevancy - shows Ms Anthony continued cooperation with OCSO to locate dtr - not resisting not disagreeable with any requests - Baez that photos not show that - not know circumstances before or after, don't know if she was told a joke - this witness did not take the photo [KC grabbed Baez arm] not witness anything about that photo - overruled entered into evidence

Baez says will object to this one as well - wait until offered - State Q - clothing KC wearing - wore at Univ Studios
(14:32) clothing on at OCSO July 16, 2008 - visitor badge on her hoodie got at front desk of OCSO - got visitor badge - KC brought into Sheriff Office the way an in custody person brought in? several entrances - people in custody not go in front door and not get visitor badge
Baez - same objection relevance - overruled

I love how he didn't even flinch. Tiny bit of professionalism out of JB in that situation.

Hopefully he will remember to have a discussion with his client about appropriateness. Ask her to control her Anthonyness and allow him do his job. If she has something to whine about, just jot it down in her yellow legal pad, underline it/draw a heart next to it, whatever... instead of putting a huge, neon, blinking arrow over the defense table when they've already tried changing tables once! :floorlaugh:

The incessant note-taking in the recent hearings is so interesting on a couple of levels. Many of the comments I've seen thus far agree that our "chameleon" is now fancying a Lawyer/paralegal role. She thinks it helps her in these ways:

The scribbling away makes her look totally "engaged", interested and astute.
The scribbling gives her a wonderful "out" so that she is "present"...but "not there" especially when family members want to make eye contact.
The scibbling allows her a great new fantasy, that she is "the boss", able to direct "the team".

I have to wonder if Andrea Lyon were still on board if she would allow this all-day-long scribbling. Anyone with half a brain can see that it is complete "deflection" on Casey's part. When the testimony (if we get to trial) gets tough..will Casey go through dozens of legal pads, barely looking up? The jury will think she's "hiding" in plain sight (which she is).

I find Casey's ability to morph into people around her to be endlessly interesting. I think if she were taken and plunked into any circumstance she'd very quickly start "becoming" them. This is why she'll do great in prison!

Lillian glass's latest take- try and ignore the typos, lol

http://drlillianglass.com/body-language-blog/
I REALLY like Dr. Glass, but she seems too hard on Cindy's wardrobe and hair. The Dr's assessment is more like issues about "beauty" than comportment. Not everyone looks like a movie star for gosh sakes!
In this new column Dr Glass wants Cindy's hair to be different ...(and I swear, in an earlier column Glass didn't like Cindy's hair longer...and now she doesn't like it shorter! Which is it?!) lol!
WELL, aside from beauty advice to Cindy, the Dr's observations seem pretty accurate to me. No one is missing the endless note taking!

Oh, and FWIW, I think it's a bit of the pot calling the kettle black, because Dr. Glasses hair is at least 4 inches too long on HER!

You are making an important point here. It is not just the fact that she is lying that is important for the jury to know. It is the lengths she went to, knowing full well that she was had no chance of pulling it off. She stubbornly and stupidly, with zero chance of success, rode along with two detectives to a
place she worked years earlier, in an attempt to prove to them she still worked there and had an office and a work cell phone waiting for her there. To me, that shows how sick and twisted , and out of touch ,she really is.

I don't think the 911 calls or the written statements will convey that as well as this visit to Universal will. :banghead:

I had not realized that LE took that photo before she was arrested.
I didn't realize she had a VISITORS badge on

I agree it was a Good Move...

BBM
Its "curious" isn't it?

Like everything else with this case and dealing with ICA in particular, nothing is what it seems. I had always thought that photo was taken at a party or at someone's house because obviously she was wearing the blue hoodie which she bought with Amy's stolen money. I remember ages ago I was trying to find out when that photo was taken and spent a lot of time looking for an answer and never finding one, now we know why.

I'm sure Baez hates that photo because Amy's money was used but I'm just as sure he also hates it because of her appearance of great delight and happiness --- I can't imagine how stunned the police must have been when they were taking it, boy would I love to hear some of their stories about what they really thought of ICA that day.

It was quite a revealing thing that she was willing to go on an admitted wild goose chase when, supposedly, her daughter was in mortal danger. Priorities? Hello! Let's just waste some time here for awhile lol. Then when they asked how that stunt was helping to find Caylee - she had the brilliant idea of "Maybe showing some flyers to people". Yeah. Sure. Cause that's really what needed to happen at that point, and the only way to make that happen was lie about having a job at Universal...and why not do that for the past 31 days?

It reminds me of nothing more than John Couey's coloring books during his trial.

I think the constant writing is distracting to JB who is trying to listen to the testimony. If JB is doing the cross KC should be directing her questions to CM and let him decide to interrupt JB while he listens to the witness statements. KC was constantly shoving notes in front of him while he was trying to listen to what witnesses were saying. Somehow if this is permitted during the trial KC will be blaming the judge for not warning her that she distracted her attorney at the wrong time.

Also I noticed the PI was making faces, shaking his head, laughing at inapproriate times from the gallery. So between JL and the A's no wonder the judge warned them to stop their antics or they would be removed. Someone needs to hand GA a bucket to get rid of his gum. He knew enough not to have it in his mouth on the stand but back out into the seating area it was chomp, chomp, chomp. Very disrespectful and he knows better.

JB's body language was sometimes very funny and somewhat awkward like he practiced in the mirror. Steps to the side of the podium, takes a half step forward, raises his arm and points at Yuri and says, "And YOU........." Not sure what he said, just looked so practiced and phoney. It may have been about Yuri letting KC commit a crime because she was lying to him.

This was only a 3 day hearing so far and we have a list a mile long of things that were done wrong or misstatements from the witnesses and a defendant who is permitted to swing willfully at her attorney while he is addressing the court.

And my favorite because I held my breathe as I did not know what LDB was going to finish with is when she asked CA if she would have sat on KC to keep her from leaving the house and then LDB said you would have retrained her if you could. I thought LDB was going to say "You would have duct taped her to a chair if it would keep her from leaving" (or Kronked her). But LDB would not say that, too much class. For a second, though, I thought that was what was coming. lol jmo

Great observation. I imagine Casey in her cell holding a compact mirror(if she's allowed to have one) and practicing facial expressions to use in court. jmo

ive said this before, i think it's from years of wearing that goofy 🤬🤬🤬 smile of hers! so when she frowns, or trys to at least, it ends up giving her an anteater kind of look. i guess that's in now, like casey's ruffles (per cindy anyway). the seinfield pirate shirt always gives me a good laugh along with her funky face.

About body language; anyone know why ICA keeps growing her hair longer and longer?
does any expert say anything? Will she grow it long enough to have a guy climb up to her cell? Repunzel comes to mind.

Very well put! I couldn't agree more ... I'm hoping Judge Perry is just getting started with controlling this behavior in the courtroom by reminding everyone to adhere to the rules of decorum and even saying he had copies for anyone who needed them ...
And KC's behavior ... ugggh ... I know these hearings have not been in front of a jury, but, they have been very important evidentuary hearings with witness testimony and her antics should not be tolerated, IMO ... besides the fact that she needs the practice behaving appropriately, no defendant should be allowed to distract or intimidate a witness or interrupt the proceedings in any way, shape or form ...
If I get my wish, Judge Perry will be addressing what should NOT be happening at the defense table and what is expected of the defendant ...

I agree! I am thinking maybe we should send her a Suduko (sp) book like Couey had.:floorlaugh:

Who knows? But in a letter to ICA, CA says that grandma (Shirley) knows why she is growing her hair.:waitasec:

She won't cut it until she is free. The longer it gets, the thinner it becomes. It healthy to cut or trim your hair once in awhile. It gets any longer it will be one long thin stream. Her hair already shows signs of thinning out. Not as thick as when it was shorter. It's just what happens to fine hair when it grows too long.

For someone who is so critical of just about everything, her writing skills and spelling errors drive me INSANE. Please just have someone proof your work. None of us are perfect, but she has obvious errors in every article she writes. While I believe some of what she says, I have a very hard time with her delivery.:twocents:

Bet she's using it as a sympathy card with all the jail, legal and court staff. "This is the hair that I had when Caylee was with me and I'm not cutting it. It gives me comfort. I cry into it every night" Boo hoo. "Oh you poor thang" :loser:
