Casey's Diary Entry for June 21st & Missing Pages #1

If the diary was not taken by LE, then by now it is destroyed, hidden, or most likely with JB.

If that's the case, then someone will have a LOT of explaining to do, I can guarantee you that. Immediate grounds for obstruction charges, destruction of evidence charges (read: aiding and abetting anyone?!?!)

That spot of red on the spine (directly to the left of the "J" in June) is probably either from her crossing the top of the "J"...or...from the swing upward after rounding out the bottom of the "J" The "J" was crossed from left to right and most likely after the "hook" was made so I'm inclined to think that the mark occurred during both actions......imo

I respectfully disagree. Look closely at the top of the "J". You can see the point where the pen was pressed down harder when she began to make the top of it, from left to right. There's a circular indentation, so she wouldn't have been far enough over to make that mark to the left. Same with the "body" of the "J". She started making it at the point where the "body" meets the "top bar", there's the same circular indentation. And, the mark to the left is at the wrong angle to be from the "sweep" from making the "hook" "body" to making the "top" "bar".

Sorry for my lack of description, I'm no handwriting expert, so I don't know lingo. But I do have 20/20 vision thanks to my contacts, and it's plain as day! Those are torn out pages with a bit of ink still remaining.

I blew up the pic a bit and I see more evidence (IMO) leading to the theory that pages have been ripped out. See the little jagged pieces and the spots where parts of the binding are missing?

Looking at the diary up close I really think it looks like pages are ripped out. Also, if you look at the arrow I added to the pic you can see some ink possibly from a previous page that has been ripped out, IMO. Please forgive me if this has already been discussed.

Thanks for posting that close-up! To me, it looks like the June 21 picture is torn out and just sitting on top of the page underneath with the little stroke of red ink.

Thank you Tater!!!!! that is exactly what I was trying to convey. If pages had been ripped out, the gap would have had ragged bits of the page left. if an exacto knife or sharp scissors had been used - they would not have gotten down far enough not to leave a nice even row of 'stubs' so to speak!

Sometimes the pages in the begining of journals are still connected to the later pages and the binding threads lie, or are best seen, in the middle. That is, the first page and the very last page are part of the same sheet of larger paper and are only held together with the rest of the sheets of paper by the threads in the middle. If that's the case, then when you pull out the first page, both it AND the last page (since they were both part of the same larger sheet of paper) come out entirely and easily. The more of these joint pages one pulls out, the easier it becmes to do so, and the easier it is to see the threads/binding at the beginning and the end of the journal, since the torn out pages allow more space between the pages left in said journal.

Ohhh...I'm with you. Looks like a binding with glue only - no threads! I think you are correct, Robyn623! Great blow-up of the photo and post!

WOW! It actually does! :waitasec: You can clearly see the shadow. This page could have come from anywhere in the book...?

Great catch!

Hey, I think it's even possible it was in the car when it was retrieved from tow yard and one of the things that were removed. Maybe CA put it in the drawer and KC never noticed it there.

Great thought.

Well, Chez, there are two kinds of attorneys:
1. Those who engage in the practice of law, are professional with their clients, the courts and other counsel, and who are skilled trial practitioners.
2. Those who engage with their clients, the media and whatever other dysfunctional people come their way; thinking that spin and being argumentative can get them what they want.

However, as we know, the second type fall flat on their faces when it comes time to suit up and actually try a case.

YUUUUP. Which would mean that '03 would be erroneous.. :bud:

Yes, I rethought my position a bit later. My naive optimism that even defense lawyers must tell the truth bites me in the butt every time until I rein it in.

Don't worry - the defense lawyers who lie eventually get :slap: and
told oh :nono: by the judges before whom they practice, so the rule of thumb is
to tell the truth OR :lipssealed: OR :silenced: .

Are you all saying that she wrote on that page after all the other pages were ripped out?

If it was me and I had a bad school year needing new friends and I had written about all my problems through the year, I would tear those pages out and start over clean. Why re-read all the negative things I thought. Start out fresh.

too funny - my post directly above yours says the same thing in part. :blowkiss:

I noticed that after I posted. It would appear that we both suffer from a deplorable lack of faith in the man's trustworthiness. And competence, for that matter. :)

Bumping these up! Thank you Robyn623 for the blown up pic!
Everyone, please take a look and share your thoughts! Do you think that the June 21st page is torn out??

Thank you! :blowkiss:

Which is why I think LE photographed it in the first place. But I don't feel like Cindy or George would do that. George wouldn't because even though he still has a lot of compassion for Casey, he's been pretty honest all along not to mention his own history of LE. Cindy I think is more than over Casey so if she knew about that entry and thought it was from 2008, at this point she'd probably deliver it to the investigators.

Bumping again, here's another example, where you can see red ink underneath the June 21st page. Robyn623, thank you so much for blowing these photos up! :blowkiss:

I still think that she (KC) tore some pages out. I have journals that I marked with '98,'99 etc and on the outside cover and I still write in them.
Baez probably asked KC about it, and he is just reporting what she told him.
Anything that comes out of her mouth is a lie. Period.
